Taken off baricitinib to try tofacitinib
Hi Beth - sorry to hear of your frustration from one drug to the next. I tried both and they both lowered my white blood cells so was swiftly taken off. On yet another (seventh) biologics - it’s been a wing and a prayer to date. I am still sore and achey but shall get there 😌
Don’t stress you shall find something that works for you. Sending you good wishes.
I have been on this drug for 9 months and it has changed my life .I have had RA for 4 years now and have been through all the other drugs from Methotrexate to Benipali and all the others in between but this one has worked for me and it’s so easy 2 tablets a day . I guess the only thing is to try it and see , we are all different.
Hi Beth, I wondered if in your just over a month, you have had ant side effects yet? I am just up to six months and a few are creeping in. I have some little white blister spots creeping back on my face although they go for a few days with the Acne cream and after a second blood test, a diabetes recall, but the worse is the fatigue and the best the pain in my foot is better. Love to hear from you.
Hi Beth,
Sorry if I have already replied but I have been busy and not been on the site for a good four weeks. I was also taken of the same first drug and I am now also on Tofacitinib and I have finally after trying several drugs. I am getting good results. I have been taking these strong tablets (I can only take one at night), they can give you a very sore throat my tip would be to take with milk if you can.
From my point of view I have had a few flare ups but nothing like what I was having before and the white hard spots caused by the baricitinib over most of my face are just a few now and again I am using my fingers to type a little and my knees have been good.
Good Luck with it.
