TSH still really high and causing anxiety
In November I had RAI due to overactive thyroid. My Dr. started me on Synthroid 50 mcg in January. I am now on an alternating dose of 50 mcg 3x week and 75 mcg 4x week. Dr. says to stay on this dose as my TSH is decreasing (although VERY slowly). The only symptom I am really still experiencing is

Cramps with Ibrutinib
I have just finished my third month on Ibrutinib and have started suffering cramps in hands, arms and legs. Is this now to be a regular side effect.? Also I get intermittent itchy spots on my upper body which are controlled by Fucibet ointment.

You can be still be alive with a TSH of 26.8 and T4 and T3 of 0
My poor body has been through the mill of things. My endo shut his clinic due to his own thyroid illness and left me stranded after having RAI. It was 8 weeks after my treatment and I decided I needed to see someone urgently so went back to my lovely GP. As you can see my bloods they were very underactive

Kelp to help asthma
Has anyone had benefit from taking Kelp to help their asthma? As my asthma had taken a downturn I have spent a fortune on supplements to help! Tried most things ! Then about 2 weeks ago I started on kelp capsules, taking three a day and not the recommended one a day! They seemed to make a big improvement

I found a complete cure for RLS
I’ve suffered RLS many years, the only thing that worked was strong analgesics which gave me bad side effects. I’ve tried many many cures and nothing seems to work but I found this by trail and error. It works 100% for me and NO PILLS ! I took some menthol crystals and ground them into very fine powder

Random question
This is not urgent, but I was watching the new hbo show about Chernobyl and did some reading about how people who were exposed were given iodine tablets. Also read about a huge increase in thyroid cancer after the explosion happened. First, what would happen to someone if they didn’t have a thyroid and

Hypothyroidism as a Predictor of Surgical Outcomes in the Elderly
Shame this paper, which has some good points, ends up doing what they all do, assessing hypothyroidism by TSH. Is there any good research which shows that TSH reflects thyroid hormone status however old we are? Of course not. [i]Front Endocrinol (Lausanne). 2019; 10: 258. Published online 2019 Apr

Diagnosis Hashimotos Based On Antibodies Only
Hi All, Brand new here. Diagnosed with Hashimotos based on Thyroglobulin antibodies. Measurement was 4, reference range < or = 1 In addition, the doc tested for iodine, and it was found to be low. What are your thoughts on RAI, thyrodectamy and potassium Iodide?
I had gone to the doctor when my son was 7 months with complaints of weight gain and hair loss and was told that I looked good on paper with my thyroid levels still within the normal range, except I was on the very low end. In 2005, when my son was 18 months in August, I began having the classic hyperthyroid

Irregular periods after radioactive iodine treatment
Hello, My first period after my Radioactive iodine treatment was very odd Indeed and it had a strange smell to it. 2 weeks after my period ended (lasted much longer than usual) i have started to bleed again? I am 49 but 50 in July. Has it triggered early menopause? Or is this common? Will it get better

Hello all, I have been offered 2 treatments options, surgery or the radioactive iodine tablet. I have been diagnosed with Graves. I just wondered if anyone had taken the radioactive iodine and could give me any info? Any side effects? Did it work? Thanks Alicia 😊
