Advice and help please
Hi all, my first post here - I'm 47 and suffering with extremely heavy periods, flooding, passing big clots etc. Just had an ultrasound and transvaginal probe which has shown everything is normal. I know I should be pleased but still don't have any answers as to what is causing this. I've been taking

Alendronic Acid
I’ve only taken two tablets up til now, but I’ve read about having a dental check up before taking them. I do have dental issues so should I stop taking AA until I have my dental check up. Im also on Prednisolone for 5 days due to some breathing issues but I’m actually thinking maybe it’s the AA not

Alendronic acid or not?
Fifteen months ago when I started Pred, my GP insisted I took Alendronic acid to avoid osteoporosis. I asked for a Dexa scan first, which he refused, so I did not take Alend. acid . Today he has again put pressure on me to accept this medication. When I mentioned Dexa scan again he agreed this time

Supplements -so much information
Hi all I know that we need to take vitamin D as those of us who are light sensitive and stay out of the sun need this, however there is also lots of other suggestions on the internet. I do have inflammatory arthritus and many sites suggest turmeric, other sites suggest fish oil and omega 3. So, for

Ever feel like you can't win?
Bad day at work. I'm burned out at my job, and have been seriously struggling with it for at least two years. You may ask, why don't I find something else? Valid question. I don't have skills to get anything else meaningful outside of something like retail/cashier. My mental and emotional health cannot

Man Who Recovered Using Meditation was on Terazosin?
Corrected (thanks park_bear), this guy was meditating, not using QiGong. So no sooner than I post about Meditation Guy (again), I'm re-reading the article (was surprised he was in Massachusetts) and see he was diagnosed with PD in 2000 and was on all the medications and and was recovered by 2013. Severe Period Pain but no diagnosis
Hi, I haven’t yet been diagnosed with anything - endometriosis etc… but I joined this forum to see if it’s worth pushing for it to be investigated? I’m only 18 but I have had several trouble with my period since I was 9, to the point where I am curled up on the floor in agony, or where I’m shaking badly

Tranexamic acid - any advice?
In short, I have endo & adeno and am currently treatment free whilst waiting for a hysterectomy (I'm 45). My periods are pretty heavy and painful and a doctor has suggested trying Tranexamic acid for a few months. I just wondered if anyone else has tried this in a similar situation and did it work? Thanks

Have I made the wrong decision?
I had a lap in 2016 which was negative for Endo. I was diagnosed with IBS. I have since suffered reoccurring large cysts and a great deal of pain. In May 2021 I was hospitalised and advised by two gynae DRs that they believed I did have Endo and that it was missed. I’ve been off work since, can’t drive

Dry ears, eyes etc and Buckthorn Oil Capsules
I came across an article recently for dry eyes, ears etc. Has anyone taken Buckthorn Oil capsules for this? I have just purchased Omega7 which contains [i]Omega 3, 6, 7, 9 and Vit A (beta carotene) which maintains normal structure and function of the skin and mucous membranes, such as the eyes,

Alendronate- side effect (diarrhea)
I started alendronate 3 weeks ago and 3 days. In week 3 I am experiencing diarrhea, sometimes uncontrollable unless I take Imodium. I’ve taken this 4 years ago for 4 weeksand experienced no side effects. I wonder long I should wait to get use to it. Trying to avoid prolia. Has anyone experienced diarrhea

Dry eyes & Vitamin B12
Hi, I have just come across an article online which I thought may be of interest to anyone who suffers from dry eyes as I do: [i]Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin that helps the body make DNA and nerve cells. Deficiency of this nutrient is associated with severe dry eye disease and eye pain, according

Worried about Alendronic Acid and pain
Hi I started AA last Thursday when my doctor rang me with the results of my Bone scan and told me I had osteoporosis, he didn’t give me any results or tell me how bad I had it, just checked what reflux medicine I was on and asked if it was controlled which it is. I took my first tablet and 4 days later

Newly Diagnosed
Hi I’ve just been told I have severe Osteoporosis after having a Dexa Scan. I’ve started Adcal D3 and I’ve been given Alendronic Acid 70mg. It’s my left hip and lumber spine which is affected, -3•5 in hip, -3•1 in lumber spine. I’ve been told I have a fracture risk of 36%. I’m naturally concerned about
