Not Sure What I Should Do
I've been diagnosed with Hashimoto's
Thyroiditis
and I currently take Levothyroxine. Previously I took Levothyroxine and Levothyronine. My current Endocrinologist only believes in testing the Free T4 and the TSH. She won't take any other tests.

What is subclinical hypothyroidism?
In patients with subclinical hypothyroidism due to autoimmune
thyroiditis
and sufficient intact thyroid tissue, thyroid regulation importantly includes, in addition to the classical feedback of circulating thyroid hormones onto pituitary TSH secretion, the feedforward control of TSH over preferential

Mumps Myxœdema
It is postulated that the mumps virus invaded the thyroid gland producing subacute
thyroiditis
and that myxoedema followed progressive destruction of the gland as a result of autoantibody mechanisms.

Hyperthyroid swing
I assumed it might just be the usual flare up and had my thyroid ultrasound today, confirmed the same finding as last year,
thyroiditis
with a very shrunken gland. Each lobe is about 1.9-2.2 cm (I think is the correct measurement) whereas it’s usually between 4-6 for those of you who know.

Scans and Ultrasounds and Biopsys
Anyone have any idea why he won't do the biopsy (I asked, did not get answer that helps" "that confirms
thyroiditis
", whatever that means because we knew that) ? And any tips on things that I should ask about the ultrasound?

Experience of hypo without any antibodies
Judging by this forum it is difficult for those with Hasimotos
thyroiditis
to overmedicate as FT3 is often low in range when FT4 is high in range. However, this might not be the case for those without autoimmune thyroid disease.

Thyroiditis finally won. Just thankful I have a Doctor that is willing to treat it.
For me, that seems to be the normal cycle of things with
Thyroiditis
the past 40 years - you feel normal, ok, insomnia becomes a little worse, you have energy, then LOTS of energy, blood pressure elevates, agitation begins to sit in, then kind of tired, you're sleeping past the alarm, headaches become

Returning to a Patient-Centered Approach in the Management of Hypothyroidism
Further prospective studies are needed to confirm these results and to explore differences in more diverse patient populations, such as Hashimoto’s
