Endocrinologist wants to reduce levothyroxine
Hi.I had a full
thyroidectomy
4 years ago.I currently take 100micro of levothyroxine. I have no symptoms of being over medicated. In my last review the endo wanted to reduce my meds to 75micro based on TSH. I argued that as I felt fine I did not want a 25% reduction of my dose.

Need advice in adjusting dose
(
Thyroidectomy
in 2017 for cancer) I had my 6 months review recently and was advised to lower my dose because of my suppressed tsh. I usually disagree with his request to lower dose but this time I stupidly agreed. I’m now suffering from the after effects two weeks later.

midwife prescribed aspirin due to history of Graves’ disease while pregnant.
I had Graves’ disease and got a
thyroidectomy
last year and I’m currently on levothyroxine. Is the reason I’m being prescribed aspirin to prevent preeclampsia? Why wasn’t this explained if so?

Menier's disease
I've been diagnosed with Menier's disease, I had a total
thyroidectomy
December last year 2021. I've been swinging from hypo to hyper since trying to adjust my medication dose.

Now Trying T3 only
When I was first put onto Levo only back in 2015 after my
Thyroidectomy
I became very ill. After a few months I joined this site and have been well on Thyroid snow for over seven years. Anyway, I have posted and tried Levo again just half of 75mcgto start with.

Thy3 diagnosis
I understand the risks associated with a total
thyroidectomy
, especially in my condition, but feel that doing it is a lesser risk ( I know an excellent surgeon who removed my right thyroid) and may bring significant improvement to my health. Please help.

Pain in neck, jugular notch and jaw after TT
Hi all, I’ve had Total
Thyroidectomy
in June 2022 - 6 months ago due Papillary cancer. There was 17 lymph nodes removed and thankfully there was no spread in them. My blood test is ok so far too, but I still feel pain around my scar and where the nodule used to be.

Hashimotos or not?
I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2018, had
thyroidectomy
in Feb 2019. I think that I was hypothyroid for many years prior to the thyca diagnosis, but I asked my surgeon at the time if I had a thyroid issue and his answer was “no, you’re not being treated for one, are you?”

Results Advice Please
I underwent a
thyroidectomy
in Feveruary of this year because I didn't feel well with the methanisol. And It was a good decision because I had papillary microcarcinoma in my thyroid. But since then I can't stabilize my values.

dosing changed
Originally I took 125mcg daily after my
thyroidectomy
for many years. Repeated AF episodes always were associated with a lowering TSH result. Maybe someone could shed a light on whether such a tiny alteration can make such a big difference. And how do I keep on top of it?

Sudden hair loss - thyroidectomy 38 years ago
I had a
thyroidectomy
38 years ago, been on levothyroxine 100mcg for years and have been fine. So I am shocked that this hair loss has suddenly happened. In February my T4 was at the upper end of normal and my TSH below the normal range at 0.05mU/L.

From darkness into light and almost all the way back again
Due to persistent AF and by now, a diagnosis of Graves, I was lined up for either a
Thyroidectomy
or Radio Iodine and sent to the local Endocrinologist. The one request I had was: “please don’t make me fat again”.
