I had a thyroidectomy over 20 years ago, not been feeling great and having no luck with GP. Had private blood test done and results are TSH 0.03 and T4 28.9 T3 was within range and normal,

Is there anyone on here who has had a partial or full thyroidectomy in Buckinghamshire or Oxfordshire who would be happy to share their experience, good or bad, and provide any tips/advice? Having had nodules for a number of years, one of mine increased in size in Jan 22.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to why my TSH should suddenly jump from an average of 0.2 to 5.34.I had a total thyroidectomy flowing cancer discovery 4 years ago. And have been on 150 mg of Levo as a supressing doses to keep any new thyroid cells at bay. Have felt generally ok.

I had a thyroidectomy in 2017. I have had an ongoing battle with GP's over treatment. My latest TSH that my GP tested was 0.07. This was the only test he carried out having refused to test F4 & F3. I was on 75mg T4 & 10mg T3. GP lowered T4 to 50mg against my wishes.

Does anyone have a particular recommendation for a private endo on here. I have recently received the lists from TUK and I’m tempted to go with a female doctor in Bristol as she is a hypo sufferer too, so at least knows our plight. I don’t have a thyroid now, after 2 partial thyroidectomies and ablation

I was prescribed amitriptyline 9 years ago to help prevent chronic migraines.Started on 10mg per night.Went up to 20mg per night about 5 years ago.Seemed to be working OK.Less frequent and I could function if I did have one instead of in bed.I have Graves disease and had a thyroidectomy last June.

Here are my results which are not looking good.12 October 23 TSH.........11.9.......0.27-4.2 Free T3....3.5........3.1- 6.8 T4.............12.........12-22 Incidentally, I had a thyroidectomy 1992. There is more to this story but don't want to get into that.

It's been 11 years since it went haywire having been perfectly well for 30 years on 100mcg following a thyroidectomy nearly 60 years ago. I am extremely sensitive to levo and can only tolerate small doses.

Total thyroidectomy noted. Hyperdense nodule of approx 13mm x 12mm noted in right thyroid bed which looks low - grade, uptake on early images which persisted on delayed images. This May represent thyroid tissue??

He's recommending a complete thyroidectomy. 😩 He also mentioned Thyroid artery goiter embolization (TAE) and said that's the breakthrough treatment that could work and save my thyroid but it's going to be at least 2 years before it comes to the UK. 😭😭😭 Anyone here got any advice?

Since my total thyroidectomy in April I have been on put on 125 mcg of Levothyroxine and am tolerating it quite well ( no gastro problems like with most tablets and energy levels ok ) except for extreme muscle stiffness and joint pain.

I am 10 months post thyroidectomy. I am well and am on 180ndt a day as a single dose. My GP is telling me he is concerned about such a high dose and feels I am using the NDT as a stimulant to live my active lifestyle.

I have had full thyroidectomy, 2014. Any guidance gratefully received.

I know this is a type of Anaemia and can be auto immune (I had graves before total thyroidectomy. ) I would be grateful if anyone has any advice on MCHC levels if there is anything I need to do ?

Hi All, I had a total thyroidectomy on July 21st. I started my levothyroxine the next day. Ever since the surgery, I have had a higher resting heart rate, between 80-110. It’s very frustrating and a really annoying symptom. Has anyone experienced, and if so how long did it last?

But the specialist asked some medical questions so I told her all my health woes since full thyroidectomy in 2019 and primary hyperparathyroidism diagnosis again in 2020, 2005 chronic fatigue syndrome, fibro, she was most interested saying one or more of your conditions can have a bearing on eye health

I have a total thyroidectomy and was very ill at 50 mcg Levo to the level that I was almost non-functioning. Found out Dr had not realised I'd had a total Thyroidectomy and was going by TSH.

I’ve told her to ask for an increase to her levo but as hers is caused by the thyroidectomy should she still ideally get her TSH to around 1? I didn’t know if it was different in this case? I’m really hoping this could help her depression and lethargy. Thanks in advance.
