Thyroidectomy any regrets?
I need some advice, please. I have a TT scheduled in two weeks and I getting nervous and beginning to rethink my decision. A little background on me, I was diagnosed with graves in 2011. It took just over 18 months for the blood results to go into the normal range. Over the years I have been in remission

Reformer and Rebounding
I have done reformer Pilates for 14 years but after my parathyroidectomy and partial
thyroidectomy
I lost most of the strength I’d built up and had a lot of joint pain.

FT3 better than FT4 in dose adjustment of T4 therapy
The aim of the present study was to elucidate whether free thyroxine (FT4) or free triiodothyronine (FT3) indicates better for adjusting the dose in athyreotic patients on LT4 monotherapy after total
thyroidectomy

T4 out of range: Suspect this is related to iodine based medication (Amiodarone) Advice needed pls.
I do not have a thyroid (
thyroidectomy
1992) but still this medication also interferes with conversion of thyroid meds. In my case, I do believe this is what has happened. Present thyroid medication status: 75mcg/ 50mcg alternate days. 30mg NDT daily, split dose.

Question regarding Iodine
Partial
thyroidectomy
28 years ago, now have hashimotos (raised antibodies). Take thyroxine and ERFA. I have low blood calcium, and parathyroid issues, so I have no choice but to take calcium. I have been taking plant based calcium from seaweed because I heard it is better for you.

hypersensitive to T3
Hi there, I had a
thyroidectomy
years ago and have been on T4 (levo) only for majority of the time, I sourced NDT to try get some T3 but found I had high reverse T3. I am now taking 100mcg T4 (levo) and started T3 (liothyronine) but find I am very sensitive to the T3.

Endocrinologist wants to reduce levothyroxine
Hi.I had a full
thyroidectomy
4 years ago.I currently take 100micro of levothyroxine. I have no symptoms of being over medicated. In my last review the endo wanted to reduce my meds to 75micro based on TSH. I argued that as I felt fine I did not want a 25% reduction of my dose.

Need advice in adjusting dose
(
Thyroidectomy
in 2017 for cancer) I had my 6 months review recently and was advised to lower my dose because of my suppressed tsh. I usually disagree with his request to lower dose but this time I stupidly agreed. I’m now suffering from the after effects two weeks later.

Menier's disease
I've been diagnosed with Menier's disease, I had a total
thyroidectomy
December last year 2021. I've been swinging from hypo to hyper since trying to adjust my medication dose.

midwife prescribed aspirin due to history of Graves’ disease while pregnant.
I had Graves’ disease and got a
thyroidectomy
last year and I’m currently on levothyroxine. Is the reason I’m being prescribed aspirin to prevent preeclampsia? Why wasn’t this explained if so?
