Hello,

I'm new here on the forum and I'm really counting on support and new hope.

I'm over 40 and just after the fourth unsuccessful IVF cycle. I have not received a healthy aploid embryo so far. I am struggling with the quality of my occites. Previouslu I have been taking: Ubiquinol 400mg, DHEA 25-75mg and prenatal vitamins with high level of DHA. I also tried melantonin 3mg, but it made me feel bad in the morning, so I gave up. I definitely prefer adding acai berries powder to my morning smoothie :-)

With each attempt I see a slight improvement, but I'm also pressed for time. Can you recommend other supplements and antioxidants to consider? Currently I'm thinking of Tru Niagen and Resveratrol. Does anyones have experience?

Hi lovely,

Sorry to hear of your cycles so far - it's a rough journey.

I took a higher dose of Ubiquinol (800mg a day) and also 1600mg of N-ACETYL CYSTEINE (NAC) - which is a very good antioxidant. I also made a smoothie every day of 500ml whole milk, banana, chai seeds, flax seed powder and Blueberry powder - which is also a very good antioxidant. I had a much higher conversion rate of egg to blastocyst after doing this for 3 months. It could have just been a coincidence but if you are planning to try again it couldn't hurt to give it a go.

Wishing you lots of luck xx

Hi, sorry to hear about your struggles. Have you tried Human Growth Hormone during your cycles? It’s supposed to give embryos a bit of ‘ooomph’ and energy to get them to Day 5. I think that the jury is still out on the research/evidence, but I guess it’s worth a shot? I used it in my second cycle. Wishing you the very best of luck x

Thanks Football61 for the good wishes. Yes, I tried GH before the 3rd attempt and in fact I obtained the highest number of embryos in this cycle. We decided with our doctor to do a fresh transfer of the best one on day 3. The rest were supposed to be frozen, but on the 4th day they stopped developing. The HG procedure was a bit expensive for me, so I gave up before the 4th attempt, but maybe I will try again.

Try taking flax seed with pumpkin seed in the first 15 days of cycle and tgdn sesame with sunflower seeds in the later 15 days of your cycle. Also, try consuming 1tbs of chia seeds every day in milk or shakes. Try doing moderate exercises everyday to have good blood supply all through your body. Also try taking accupuncture sessions for fertility. It does help. This is from my personal experience. These all helped me a lot.

Please follow this plan as it is being told by my accupuncturist. It really helps. Even with using this you will be able to see diff in ur menstrual cycle as well. The combination of seeds work differently in diff phases of menstrual cycle. Try taking 2 tbsp in the morning and evening respectively everyday. U will get the results.

GH this is something what I should try again. Regarding vitamin D, I supplement it and check levels on a regular basis as I live in a not very sunny country😉 Thanks HalifaxCalifornia for your idea 🙂
