Does anyone know dosage for vitamin D3 and Coenzyme Q10??
At my appointment last week my consultant suggested I start taking vitamin D3 and Coenzyme Q10. However he didn't give a dosage and I didn't think to ask. He is on holiday in August so I'm stuck till he is back. Has anyone else been told to try this, and what amount? I know there's a big international

Phimosis
Hi all, I’ve had phimosis since I was a teenager due to a scar on my penis. I’m able to retract it completely normally with no problems when flaccid. I can also fully retract it when erect, although it takes a fair bit of resistance and is uncomfortable when retracting, making sex uncomfortable. I’

rash for 5 months now
hi I’ve had an all over body rash the past 5 months and dermatologist is convinced is because of a virus. No signs of it improving. I’m so worn out with it now. Antihistamines are doing nothing and neither is the steroid cream. Please give some advice what else this could be. They are flat pink spots

Hi guys, After recently finding out I have Hashimotos (going to the Dr on Thursday) I have been taking stock on what I take and whether it is beneficial to me or could cause harm. I take the Heights Smart Supplement and wondered what you guys thought of what is inside it. I was mainly worried because

Maddening Contradictory Advice
Latest update on my still hormone sensitive lymph nodes-only but widespread metastatic cancer is the Dexa scan showing I now have Osteopenia (no doubt occasioned by ADT regimen and lack of Testosterone). I’ve been told I need to get 1500 mg absorbable Calcium per day to prevent further lumbar region

ART Vit D and Prostate Cancer (PCa) by Dr Campbell UK Podcast
Dr Campbell, UK, has made a summary of recent investigations and studies on VIT D and its effect on PCa specifically and cancer generally. Of import is his discussiono on the finding on PCa and African Americans; they have a genomic risk factor that leads to more aggressive PCa, BUT respond quickly

Help interpreting summary of DEXA scan, please?
I had a DEXA san in January 2022, 18 months after being diagnosed and starting on Pred. By then my usual GP was away. I was just told I had osteopenia. I’m 65. For several months I wasn’t even advised what to do about it until I spoke again to my regular doc, who prescribed soluble ADCAL D3.

I have had CLL for about four years. I am currently on active surveillance and treatment naive. I had a spinal fusion on July 17 for L4-5 due to Spondylolisthesis. I feel like I’m recovering as well as I can expect from the surgery. My hemoglobin dropped to 10 post surgery so I have been very tired but

Lab results help & talking to doctor about med changes
I talked to my doctor before my lab work about possibly changing the dosage of my levothyroxine or even adding T3 because I still don't think I am optimal. She gave me a " we will see" response and said she doesn't want to mess with it too much because adding one thing can make something else wonky.

Another auto immune condition: Lichen sclerosus
I'm in shock. I've just been diagnosed with another auto-immune condition, just as my PMR seems under control. I was diagnosed with PMR in April 2019, and with a few flares I'm now on 4.5mg prednisone. Lichen sclerosus is an unpleasant condition, mostly post-menopausal women, no known cure, just topical

D3 lowers estrogen in blood!
I bought a kiddie pool so I could lay out and get some sunshine. I grew up on an island and I love the water ... ANY water! So I bought it solely for my enjoyment. Then I come across this article from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center on how D3 lowers estrogen and this interests me because I recently

Folic Acid And Vitamin D Timings
I have to take 5mg of Folic acid a day which I take straight after breakfast which in turn is usually between 1 1/2-2 hours after Levothyroxine. I have now been told by GP to take 25mcg of Vitamin D3 daily. I asked my Haematologist if I can take the VitD3 with the Folic acid, the answer was yes, can
