GP appointment update
Hi so I have come back from GP and it has been a really promising appointment. He has upped my thyroxine from 100mcg to 125mcg with a repeat test in 6-8 weeks time. He has accepted I have Hashimotos and that it is a confusing illness that can cause fluctuations in hormone levels and symptoms. He told

Consultation after blood test
I recently had a blood test and as my ferritin levels were low and still dropping, I asked one of the GP's through the receptionist (couldn't get an appointment for 2 weeks to ask him) if I should start taking Ferrous Fumarate which I had some of from last year when I was prescribed them from the surgery

Do flares ever completely go away?
Hi. I am still here in autoimmune/Lupus limbo and awaiting a follow up consultation with the rheumatologist. 🙆🏼 For the past 11 months I have had many awful, debilitating symptoms, rashes, ulcers , pins and needles- to name a few. The unpleasant spots and red patches of skin I have had for the duration

Rash uncontrollable
I have had this horrific rash since 5/24, which started with bump on my back that itched badly and frank said looked like a spider bite. It spread to shingle type blisters in a vertical line by 4 days. Primary doc said some kind of virus and have me steroid cream. Got worse, spread to legs. Doc took

Vitamin D3 Bests Vitamin D2 for Boosting Total Serum Levels. 600 IU of vitamin D3 significantly more effective in wintertime study
Low serum levels of Vitamin D are common in CLL with a low reading at diagnosis correlating with a poor prognosis. We won't know whether boosting it into normal levels will slow progression until Mayo Clinic release the results of their study, but many of us with low values (self included) find that

Just been diagnosed with Hypothyroid
Hi I'm new here. Dr diagnosed me a few weeks ago after initially going with a strange spot rash on arms and legs and backside area. After several blood tests and a urine test was told I was B12 deficient and also had an underactive thyroid which he added was quite low. Started to get worried now

What do I have? Wish I could find out!
In September I thought I had a bug bite on my right ankle. By October this rash was all over my body from my neck down. Itching was so very intense. It kept me up at night, would bleed from scratching. I thought at first perhaps it was an allergic reaction to soap, shampoo, food. I tried very over

Correct Dosage of Calciterol(50,000IU D3) and any results
I have stage IV PCa and have gone through Xtandi, Zytiga and now on 3 treatment of taxotere. I heard that large dosed of vitamin D3 has had an effect of lowering PSA (mine is 126). Has anyone had good results with D3? And if so, what dosage should I take daily or weekly? LP16

When trying to raise levels (ferritin, b12, vitamin D) how long do you wait before retesting?
I don't actually know my vitamin D levels so I'm taking 5,000 iu daily at the moment and will ask for a test when I see my GP next (whether I'll get one is another thing!). But how long after the first test should I wait before retesting all of these? Also, as regards to the Vitamin D3, should I be
