HSD3B1 Genotype in Metastatic Castration-Sensitive Prostate Cancer
Relevance Inheritance of the adrenal-permissive HSD3B1 genotype is associated with earlier castration resistance and shorter overall survival in men with low-volume metastatic prostate cancer and may help identify men more likely to benefit from escalated androgen receptor axis inhibition beyond gonadal

"Novel Approach to Therapeutic Targeting of" CRPC
Several reasons for the development of resistance towards anti-androgens have been hypothesized, including intracellular
testosterone
production, androgen overexpression, somatic mutations of AR resulting in a gain of function, constitutive activation of AR splice variants, imbalance in AR regulators

Introducing me - Jason
My
testosterone
levels have been low for a few years so I’ve been on a
testosterone
therapy - which is now stopped. I’m not a first time patient, I had part of my colon removed for a pre-cancerous polyp found in 2016.

Not sure if I should start DHEA or not?
My doctor also said my
testosterone
levels were on the low side: total
testosterone
0.29 ng/mL, ref 0.10-0.70 but should preferably be in the upper 50% of range.

PSA vs PSMA
I went on hormone therapy in October 2018, which dropped my
testosterone
to around 20, and my PSA to around 0.2. That worked for about 2 months and then my PSA started rising again steadily every month through 2019. Last October I started Xtandi, which I still take.

Oh, what a mystery is our affliction
She wants me to see my GP and jottted down some things she wants him to check: Thyroid,
testosterone
, Vit. D. Could it be possible that something beside COPD is contributing to my SOB? I've made my appointment and have her notes ready. Both docs are at same hospital.

If casodex blocks PCa cells from feeding on
testosterone
, why use ANY methods to reduce T level? *Does casodex EVER feed Ca? Is there a 100% guarantee that Ca will develop resistance to casodex?

Dad's on his last few breathes. He's going to die today. Thank you to the community.
Having your
testosterone
destroyed does not mean you are any less of a man or that you will lead a miserable life. My father still is and always will be my Superman, regardless of his
testosterone
level. Did he have some bad days? Yes. But most of his days were great and he absolutely loved life.

Need advice
Testosterone
was 20. Has started dad on sour soup and turmeric lozenges. Querctin ordered. Next steps please? Also should biclutamide be added to this regimen as T is 20. What is the expected value of T while on zoladex? Also any other supplements which will help him?

PCa, does it make us asexual
But is this true, does our
Testosterone
treatment really makes us asexuality? No! We are in command, PCa does not define us, it's a disease, our life is much more than this.

Testosterone level results
Hello I got a
testosterone
test and my results came back as 13.1 nmol/L which seem ridiculously low for my age.. I'm 27.. I was stunned when I was told that the results are within the normal range.. Maybe its within normal range when you compare me with an 80 year old man with diabetes!!
