hashimotos, SIBO, perimenopause, head injury, any advice welcome!
Low
testosterone
. Have seen various docs, Specialists, functional health and nutritionists and making slow progress but the lack of energy, low mood and muscle strength is really sucking the joy out of life and my ability to do things.

24 Months of Eligard Comes to an End
My last two blood tests over a 12 month period showed my PSA at <0.1 and my
Testosterone
at 0.4. My blood test last week again showed a PSA reading of <0.1 and
Testosterone
level of <0.2. The Oncologist said that she’s wants to stop hormone treatment to see if the cancer will “declare itself”.

not sure my Onco (or I)understood the Denmeade BAT paper.
Inremember (I think) that in BAT the
testosterone
is given once per month and allowed to taper down before the next injection. And I think I remember that one continues with whatever ADT one is using during the
testosterone
cycling.

Normal total T, lowish free T
Here are the result readings: Total
Testosterone
: 654 ng/dl (264-892) Free
Testosterone
: 11.6 pg/mL (9.3-26.5) Estradiol: 21.7 pg/mL (11-43) I really don’t know what to make out of those results as I don’t have any problems associated with sex drive or erectile function.

actual castration instead of ADT
Since the goal is to eliminate
testosterone
wouldn’t it make sense to remove the source of it? By doing so one could avoid all the nasty inevitable side effects. Thoughts?

Xtandi Superior to Zytiga? Maybe Yes? Xtandi prevents resistance to Testosterone because it upregulates the AR while inhibiting its activity
By using
testosterone
propionate, we can go to very low levels of
testosterone
during the ADT phase and this makes the gas prices very expensive.

Coping with anxiety
One of the things I found that also really helped my anxiety is getting my hormones (
testosterone
), thyroid and adrenals all functioning properly and balanced. It really made a big difference in reducing my anxiety and how I felt so I definitely recommend doing it.

Cortisol results/DHEA, useful thoughts on action for adrenals?
DHEA levels typically decline with age and supplementation with DHEA may increase
testosterone
and/or estradiol levels.

Advice on ACTH and thyroid results please
Results as follows: TSH 0.93 (0.27-4.2) FT4 12 (12-22) ACTH 19.8 (7.2-63.3) Aldosterone 159 (70-570) No result for
testosterone
except a comment that it was under-range I'm currently taking an ultra low dose of hrt as anything higher pushes me into what I believe is a hypothyroid state.

Blood Tests & what to track
So my MO does frequent CMP, CBC, Diff,
Testosterone
, PSA as I'm doing chemo. Seeing my PCP soon and wondering about other lab tests to ask him to order. I was thinking Vit.

DHEA or PREGNENOLONE?
However, now my
testosterone
is raised to 2.7 (<1.2). The lovely SlowDragon, sent me material that suggested DHEA can raise
testosterone
, and, as a woman, that’s probably not good? So my question is, would Pregnenolone be a better choice than DHEA?

Rapidly rising PSA and new bone met(s).
Testosterone
seems high ( albeit only by a little) . why could that be despite adt and second gen. 2. Looks like castrate resistance has set in ? 3. Where do we go from here?

Treatment: Unfavorable Intermediate Risk PCA
He says Orgovix daily pills would be better than Lupron because Orgovix has much quicker
testosterone
recovery after the end of the ADT than Lupron. The faster T recovery makes me feel somewhat better about the short course of ADT.
