After 6 weeks on Lupron and 9 days on abiraterone, my PSA was .1, and my
testosterone
was <1.

Finally got an endocrinology appointment
I went to the GP and explained my symptoms but didn't say I'd had COVID (expecting them to say it was long COVID and not checking anything) so I got sent for bloods and had low thyroid levels but normal
testosterone
and pituitary levels which the GP said was strange, would do more bloods and refer me

Graves Weight Gain
I want to mention that I also have PCOS and in the summer my when I first met my endo, she didn’t believe me, but test results came back that I was high on
testosterone
(key indicator) but that she didn’t think it was a “big deal”. Has anyone gone through this?

Estrodiol and PC
My husband has been rediagnosed with NMPC he is on ADT which is holding the
Testosterone
very low but psa shot upto 82. New MO is starting Enzalutimide plus continuing ADT. Not looking forward to the side effects, but will perservere until psa drops.

BAT trial update
I commenced the trial about 2 months ago and I have now had 2 cycles of treatment consisting of
testosterone
injections and carboplatin infusions. 5 days ago I had my first CT and bone scans and the trial leader tells me my 3 detectable rib metastases are 'stable'.

Ten Months After All Treatments Ended
After the side effects of ADT wore off I started to feel better, even though my
testosterone
is still low. It’s not a vacation. I just reached the end of my 24 months of ADT. I hope and pray that both the
testosterone
and the PSA continue to remain at low levels.

My discussion with chatGPT about senescence in PC induced by radiation and chemotherapy.
Androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) primarily aims to reduce or block male hormones like
testosterone
that fuel prostate cancer growth. While ADT can significantly shrink tumors and lead to remission in many cases, it does not directly cause cellular senescence.

should I stop Zytiga early?
I do want to get my
testosterone
back and be healthier, stronger, less fatigued etc. heard and read different things about Zytiga reducing
testosterone
when not on Lupron. Plus it seems I’m doing well so wondering if I can get off it a little early. Very much appreciate any advice. Paul

Aetna appeal for Firmagon denial
We will file an appeal, I think we can get the first dose approved just based on the known fact of the
testosterone
flare for Eligard, I’ve also read that some men get micro surges on subsequent doses of Eligard.

Post triple therapy options?
David's last chemo (6 rounds every three weeks) was 2 weeks ago, and the
testosterone
levels dropped immediately to nearly zero. The PSA numbers came down gradually, but seem to be stalling around 1.3. (Three weeks earlier it was 1.5).

Preparation for testosterone test?
I take several supplements; I know that biotin is thought to skew results for TSH tests; does anyone know whether that is also true for
testosterone
tests. And, are there any other suggestions regarding getting
testosterone
levels tested? Thanks for any help.

Thinking of taking an ADT vacation
Would the PSA start rising once my
testosterone
level rises naturally after I stop the Lupron jab? What does the current low PSA level means? ...that the cancer cells are asleep/dormant?

Advice needed IVF
Before we met his doctor found he had low
testosterone
in bloodwork and put him on TRT, which killed his sperm. We began trying September of 2022. I became pregnant in January, however miscarried at 7 weeks. Continued trying. In June, we went to Shady Grove as we have had no luck.

Low cortisol but within normal nhs range
Could I ask for a trial of
testosterone
gel if he refuses the short synacten test? As that might help revive my interest in sex. It's horrible not being able to have a normal orgasm anymore.

testosterone
! Yes, today work is slow and I have nothing better to do than hit my head against the wall on these questions!

Would it be possible to get some
testosterone
to hopefully mitigate these side effects of no T? Not taking secondary ADT stuff just orchiectomy but my T is very very low .1 ng per deciliter not milliliter, deciliter translates to .001 ng per milliliter
