What a week(so far)!
Well here's a brief run down of the goings on in my life in just one week. It'd be too much for me even if I was fibro free! 1-Monday: Car m.o.t and car tax(great start) 2-Tuesday: Doctors, to be told fibro's the resistant type and upping of meds,Vit D defficient again and worst of all, I am now officially

I don't want to count my chickens before they have hatched but .....
I am sat in my car with hail and rain beating down on the car and I feel great!! I have just completed week 5 run 2 in that weather and think I may have found my "groove". Sure it meant going slower than the old woman walking her chihuahua that I'm sure lapped me but, hey, I enjoyed it. Is that the key

Overactive thyroid v Underactive thyroid?
(level is 7.5) I am really confused now, because many of my symptoms are typical of the underactive variety, unexplained weight gain which is difficult to lose, intollerance to cold, not heat,
tendonitis
in my heels etc.

Don't you just hate that woman on the Tena ads? Every time she has an 'OOps' moment, her knickers match her dress, she's all smooth and depilated and she manages to go base over apex without disturbing her perfect hair and make-up. She doesn't pee her knickers, either - which rather makes a nonsense

Out of the Game
This is a bit of a long blog, dear friends. But I hope you will bear with me, as it is likely to the be last one that I write for some time. What's that phrase Laura likes to cite on the podcasts for the later weeks and on 5K+? Oh, yeah. It's "If you're new to running, or if you've been

Aspergillus anyone?
Following my bronchoscopy last week I do now know that I have aspergillus, though I don't yet know which strain, or whether it's invasive or an aspergilloma. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, all feedback gratefully received. Thanks.

Bridge-to-10K: Week 3 Run 3
Time to cue up some Bon Jovi... because we are halfway there! Thanks to jetlag, I was up well before the crack of dawn this morning. The Japanese village where I am staying is not particularly well-lit at night, so I waited until the sun rose over Tokai before setting out for the final Week 3 run

Nice surprise!
I thought I'd test my running shoes to see if I went sliding everywhere and to my complete surprise they didn't budge! Two things crossed my mind:hmm looks like I'm going to have to run for 25 minutes and secondly aha! but will I slip when running? Wow what an exhilarating run. Kept an eye on the path

Underactive Thyroid - Advice needed please?
I have been suffering from many of the underactive thyroid symptoms for about 3-4 years, feeling low, fatigue, widespread aches and pains, weight gain and
tendonitis
. I did have a blood test about 6 years ago when I had some leg pains but it came back negative.

A Good start to the New Year, 6k
Over the last couple of weeks I've been slowly building up my times, after a leg injury. I did think it was ITB injury, but now I'm not so sure, after reading many different web articles I think the pain at the side of my knee wasn't quite in the right place to be ITB syndrome. Anyway, I've been doing

Parkrun with son and a trip to Sweatshop (would recommend them!)
My comment at dinner last night asking if anyone was coming to the Parkrun with me was met with surprising enthusiasm from my 2 sons. However the reality in the morning was that No 1 son preferred to sleep but No2 was up for it (literally). This was his first Parkrun and he hadn't done much running

Joints , levothyroxine and adrenal support - can anyone advise??
Hello all, can anyone offer me any advice? I was diagnosed hypo hasimoto in may this year after complaining to doctor anxiety and brain fog. I started taking levoT 50mcg and I developed fatigue, worse anxiety, worse brain fog and stiff and swollen joints. I increased to 62.5 and then 75 mcg of levoT.

Recently diagnosed with RA - this is my first venture into writing a blog
I was diagnosed with RA in September this year, after having trouble since April , starting with
tendonitis
in my ankle, and then lots of other pains, especially when I got up from sitting.
