Taxol

Diagnosed PPC Stage 3c Nov 19, finished first line chemo just Carboplatin (reaction to Taxol after 1 session) last May. Full debulking surgery in March, NED in June, as BRCA1 went straight onto Olaparib.

Hi Ladies Just two more weeks of Taxol to go. CA125 came down rapidly at first from 700 to 59, but unfortunately over the last four weeks it has begun to rise. Up by 4 three weeks ago, then 5 the following week. Had my week off then CA125 went up by 25.

After 6 rounds of carpo-taxol, and you had residual cancer-what were options after that?

Had a telephone appointment with my consultant and she is pleased with the way my Taxol treatment is going. My CA125 has halved again going from 1164 in November to 663 in December and now 334. My scan doesn’t look much different but she not worried too much about that.

She is now undergoing third line of chemo (Taxol) but things don't look good. Have any of you combined Taxol with the COC protocol (metformin, atorvastatin, mebendazol, doxulycicline? She is now also taking some medication for thrombosis ( Eparin and Lixiana).

I’ve had 2 lines of chemo following both surgeries ( frontline Taxol/Carbo, second line Carbo only). Started 300 mg Niraparib end June 2020.

Has anyone kept their hair on Taxol? Mine is thin after 7 sessions but still there.....I really don’t want to start wearing my wig until it’s absolutely necessary x

He put me on Taxol with Carboplatin. After three weekly treatments, My PSA has gone from 153.77 to 314.25 and my MO wants me to back off treatments and curl up and die, I guess. He told me that there is nothing more that he can do.

Be careful of the taxol I was doing weekly doing great then they tell you must go off it Might destroy other organs very disappointing! Next ? Who knows?

Good news is, I seem to be stable with Taxol. The cancer markers have gone down, pet scan shows that most of the lesions have decreased. Doc wants me to continue on Taxol. I do get more tired than before, have afew other annoying things but as they say I can't have my cake and eat it too (smile).

Well Hello, Just finished my 4th treatment of weekly Taxol and by biweekly Avastin, which is going really well. Haven't lost hair yet except for my lady area which is weird, well guess it is saving me money from getting a wax...😂😂😂.

Started treatment September, carbo/taxol, in hope of shrinking it to allow an operation. However, specialist says operation is too risky because of cancer in lymph node near my aorta. Due another scan in May but no plan and no contact with oncologist or cancer nurse until afterwards.

Had avastin added to my carbo/taxol regime two weeks a go. For the last 10 days I ha ve had a painful, sore burning mouth and ulcers on my tongue. I’ve been using the mouthwashes from the hospital, which haven’t really helped but sting a lot!

Just wondering if anyone else is having serious heartburn problems since the IV ranitidine is no longer available pre treatment. I now get two tablets (plus the usual dexamethazone and antihistimine before treatment) something like omeprazole one hour before chemo. This is the only thing that has changed

With taxol I am feeling more tired than before but I am thankful for being stable. I know that in spite of challenging times, God loves each and every one of us. Sending hugs to you......

Well Hello, So just finished my weekly 10th treatment of Taxol/Avaistin and 6 more to go, woot woot. All is looking good on the CA 125 were it is dropping and now at 11 halfway thru from a 53.

Hello ladies - Diagnosed with stage 4a HGSOC in May and had 3 sessions of Carboplatin and Taxol then debulking surgery on Aug 20 then 3 more treatments of chemotherapy. I started on Niraparib 4 weeks ago.

My husband is receiving weekly chemo of taxol and carboplatin and daily (Monday - Friday) radiation. He is hoarse. What can be done to help with the hoarseness?

I’ve had 18 weekly sessions of taxol and Avastin. My oncologist is giving me the option to continue the taxol or maintenance only with Avastin. I’m not sure if there is any benefit. Has anyone got experience our advice?

Hello dear ladies, Does anyone have any input on Taxol, it's success rate. Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. I spend it with my two adult daughters. Hugs and blessings, Sue
