My mum is stage IV ovarian cancer, platinum resistant. She has pleural effusion and peritoneal carcinosis. She is now undergoing third line of chemo (Taxol) but things don't look good.
Have any of you combined Taxol with the COC protocol (metformin, atorvastatin, mebendazol, doxulycicline?
She is now also taking some medication for thrombosis ( Eparin and Lixiana). Has anyone had something similar and do you know if there is some sort of interaction between the above drugs and thrombosis medication?
Thanks a lot

I think you need to ask the oncology pharmacist with regards to drug interactions. I wanted to take a few supplements, one indole3 and green macha tea and others and I am taking Rubraca and rang the oncology pharmacist and he said no as these may interfere with Rubraca. Do I took his advice as do not want to have any drug or potential supplements interfering with the efficacy.
The first two lines of your statement regarding your dear mom, read every similar to myself. StageIV, carcinamatosis, platinum resistant, and blood clots. Please ask a qualified pharmacist before any medication changes.I had two strokes from thrombosis. Although I have minimal deficiency from them.
Thank you so much for the advice and I am glad to hear you didn't have any serious consequences from the strokes. We are a bit worried about her thrombosis so something we need to keep an eye on very closely.
