It’s going in the right direction

Had a telephone appointment with my consultant and she is pleased with the way my Taxol treatment is going. My CA125 has halved again going from 1164 in November to 663 in December and now 334. My scan doesn’t look much different but she not worried too much about that. I’m halfway through chemo so only 9 more to get through. I shaved my thinning hair off only to find that it now seems to be growing again! Weird or what? Keep safe everyone x Gilly

That's so good to hear ,very happy for you, long may it continue ,my hair did exactly the same , came out in handfuls after second cycle ,so shaved it off ,to find the bristly bits didn't come out ,so its got a head start for when I finish the taxol. Cheryl xx

Thanks Cheryl. It’s surprising how a bit of good news can lift the spirits. I was getting very low, what with the cancer progression and isolation of Covid-19. I’ve got a lovely wig now but loving my ‘bristles’ as well. Gilly x

Well all they are looking for is to hold the line ned is a stretch

Hi GillyGreat news!

Following a similar path to you. CA125 slightly risen over last couple of weeks, consultant not too worried by it.

I have three more weeks of chemo then scan.

My hair also appears to be growing again.

Good luck with the rest of your treatment.

Love

Janet

This is great news.

My Mum has been offered this regime for her 4th line and she’s saying she doesn’t want to do it as she can’t stand the thought of it being weekly and for such a long time. How are you finding it in comparison to any other regime you’re on? She doesn’t come on here so I do all the research for her. Thanks
