My husband is receiving weekly chemo of taxol and carboplatin and daily (Monday - Friday) radiation. He is hoarse. What can be done to help with the hoarseness?

Try giving him honey in a warm liquid. Honey has anti oxidants that help heal and it also helps to soothe. Many here at HU and other sites said eating a tablespoon of honey after radiation helped prevent or lessen the esophagitis many get with radiation. I did not hear about this till months after my radiation finished and I wish I’d known about it.
Also you can try aloe juice. Maybe try rinsing with Biotine.
L-glutamine can also help. From the NIH website:
When I had hoarseness, I drank LEMON tea. Coming from a family of musicians, when hoarse, my mom would actually suck on a lemon. I can't handle that. However, lemon tea with honey helped a lot. And drink as much water as possible!
