Hi all, I'm a newbie.
Had lumpectomy, followed by radiotherapy and
tamoxifen
for 5 years. All good! 13 years later regular mammogram showed tumour in same breast , more or less same place. Grade 3 this time. So had R mastectomy in September and 6 sessions of FEC chemotherapy, number 5 on Thursday.

Tamoxifen
Just wanted to update everybody on my progress with
Tamoxifen
. I have been on this drug now since October. I am doing well no progression and my CA125 is stable. It is working well with me and I am tolerating the drug. I just have to exercise more.

Just saying hi
I'm lucky in so far as I didn't need chemo or radiotherapy just
tamoxifen
for 5 years. I'm waiting for my last operation in reconstruction where they remove expander & put in implant, but they've been out of stock since xmas!!! I just want it over so I can recover & get back to work.

Needing to lose weight quickly
Am on
tamoxifen
whose sole aim seems to be to help you gain weight. My spinal problem means standing and walking is very painful. I know quick weight loss is not the correct way but would appreciate any help and tips you can give. Congratulations to all of you who have done so well

Tamoxifen, Hydroxycholorquine & Methotrexate dilemma.
Do I risk the hydroxycholorquine w/
Tamoxifen
and ask to wait on the Methotrexate? Do I ask to get off of the hydroxycholorquine and go straight to just Methotrexate? Do I stop
Tamoxifen
and risk breast cancer recurrence.

Chilli Pad and RA pain
I had previously solved the overwhelming issue of severe night sweats due to the anti-breast cancer medication
Tamoxifen
I'll be taking for 10 years, by using a "chili pad" at night. It worked so very well and has allowed me to stay off of yet another additional drug.

Tamoxifen
I'm interested to hear if anyone has less side effects with a particular brand of
Tamoxifen
. I have been on Wockhardt for a couple of months now and it would appear that my side effects have lessened.

Personalised Breast cancer care.
The hormone treatment
Tamoxifen
, for example, effective against 70 percent of breast cancers, has become key in treating pre-menopausal women since trials in the 1980s.

New Levo user.. and not the results I expected
D) I have to take
tamoxifen
as oestrogen and pregosterone feed my cancer. Will these meds affect the absorption of thyroxine? Thanks to anyone reading :).

High dose iodine / iodine without iodide
Now I have ovarian cysts as a result of breast cancer medication (
Tamoxifen
). I have been researching and keep coming up with lack of iodine as a cause of ovarian cysts and breast cancer, and that iodine can remedy faulty oestrogen metabolism, which I have.
