Starting treatment again- surgery success
I have been prescribed
tamoxifen
, as a year ago I had an allergic reaction to clomid. ( I don't ovulate). So with my womb fixed I can now actually believe it may happen, just keeping my fingers crossed that this new drug works for me.

euthyrox and hot flushes
Ten years ago I got breast cancer and went through mastectomy, chemo and radio +
tamoxifen
I was 55 at the time and chemo pushed me into menopause literally overnight For the last 1 years I have had the most horrendous hot flushes and night sweats.

1 Year since I found a lump.
I started on
Tamoxifen
in December and have just started with Zoladex injections this week to surprise my ovaries. I will take
tamoxifen
for 10 years and zoladex for 5 years. I feel very lucky. All my treatment has been very successful and I have got through it all without too many problems.

Radiotherapy to follow, don't know for how long and then
tamoxifen
. Don't quite know how I'm feeling at the moment. Told me children last weekend and my mum this weekend. Hubby is a brick. So playing the waiting game. All credit to the mammographer for picking it up as it wasn't palpable.

Chemo for a senior citizen
She is already on nonadjuvent
tamoxifen
; with good response. Doctor suggests to shift to Letreozole, which should be OK. However, we are unable to decide if the benefits of chemo will outweigh the side effects, given her age and history. Request your expert advice on this. Thanks in advance.

Hi all, I'm a newbie.
Had lumpectomy, followed by radiotherapy and
tamoxifen
for 5 years. All good! 13 years later regular mammogram showed tumour in same breast , more or less same place. Grade 3 this time. So had R mastectomy in September and 6 sessions of FEC chemotherapy, number 5 on Thursday.

Tamoxifen
Just wanted to update everybody on my progress with
Tamoxifen
. I have been on this drug now since October. I am doing well no progression and my CA125 is stable. It is working well with me and I am tolerating the drug. I just have to exercise more.

Just saying hi
I'm lucky in so far as I didn't need chemo or radiotherapy just
tamoxifen
for 5 years. I'm waiting for my last operation in reconstruction where they remove expander & put in implant, but they've been out of stock since xmas!!! I just want it over so I can recover & get back to work.
