delayed reconstruction options
The tumors were found to be very small and low grade so I haven't needed any chemo or radiotherapy (just
Tamoxifen
). I have an appointment next week to meet the breast surgeon to discuss reconstruction.

Rash on boobs
I am now on
tamoxifen
. I was sitting in the garden at the weekend..... It was very hot. I had a sundress on so my boobs were covered. Felt a tingling prick pain in boobs, didn't think a lot of it. When I went indoors and then saw a red rash on both boobs. Has anyone else experienced this?? Xx

Tamoxifen.
My question is for anyone else that is on
Tamoxifen
. Somebody told me at the beginning that it can make you feel quite tired so it's a good idea to take it at night.

Cognitive impairment
We laugh and joke between ourselves and friends about ' chemo brain' but I intrigued - I am 5 years in remission and 5 years into 10 years of
tamoxifen
- my cognitive ability since chemo has been consistently rubbish and I have seen little improvement in it ( I am or was an intelligent woman - but these

Knee pain after BC treatment
What should I do about this knee pain...is it an after effects of
tamoxifen
? If this pain intensifies it will affect my lifestyle. I am scared of taking painkillers as you become addicted to it

Aromatase inhibitors V Tamoxifen
Anyone got any thoughts on whether the change from
Tamoxifen
to an aromatase inhibitor is the right thing to do? I have been taking
Tamoxifen
for 5 years and as I am now past the menapause, my oncologist has given me the option of changing from
Tamoxifen
onto an AH.

Tamoxifen to take or not to take? (I'm new here)
I have been advised to start taking
Tamoxifen
, but told it is my choice whether to take it or not. The predict tool cannot be used accurately for me, as it assumes one breast cancer, I have cancer in both breasts.

letrozole - how to minimise the side effects
Hi everyone - I have been reading the
tamoxifen
posts with great interest. I have a weak oestregan receptor (3/10) and on balance my oncologist is recommending starting letrozole (I am post menapausal) which she says I will be on for at least 10 years.

Tamoxifen and periods
Hi lovely ladies can anybody tell me if their periods were affected by taking
tamoxifen
. The oncologist said I'd still have them but this last 3 months have been barely there - not that I'm complaining! I seem to have all the symptoms but no loss. Started on it December 2015.

Sex steroid induced apoptosis as a rational strategy to treat anti-hormone resistant breast and prostate cancer.
Despite major initial therapeutic success, the strategies of long term anti-hormone therapies with either
tamoxifen
or aromatase inhibitors (AI) or antiandrogens or abiraterone for breast and prostate cancer, respectively, eventually lead to a significant proportion of anti-hormone resistant or stimulated

Change in appetite
I would expect this to happen if I'd had chemo but I only had surgery and radio plus
tamoxifen
. Initially I put it down to stress then when I started radio I couldn't stand the taste of tea (and I'm a tea belly!). I have completely gone off sweet things and chocolate (not that I'm complaining!).

New beginning
I think it will be a slow process as still on
tamoxifen
which doesn't help (or am I just looking for excuses again!) . Be nice to chat to anyone else in this situation
