Post-Tamoxifen Hot Flashes at Night

I took Tamoxifen for 5 years. Have been off for 2. Still having hot flashes, but the strange part is I wake up about 30 seconds before the hot flash, sometimes I feel a quiver in my stomach, sometimes I’m cold. Then the flash starts. It’s not severe and it’s over quickly, but it’s really annoying waking up several times a night. I often have trouble falling back asleep, but I’ve always been a poor sleeper. Does anyone else experience this. Any solutions?

I don’t think this is the case. We (husband and I) are in a good place. Kids are grown. Life is simplified. Not cooking unless I want to, lol. Life is good for which I am grateful! Having said that I have noticed that stress, alcohol, and coffee can cause hot flashes. this isn’t my concern. The ones I can’t tolerate are the ones that wake me from a dead sleep, so aggravating because I often have difficulty falling back asleep. And, yep, I know all of the healthy sleep habits, etc. is it just that Tamoxifen put me into instant menopause and it has to run its course?
