Flu Jab and Heart Failure
Hi All, New on here, just wondering whether anyone has had the flu jab after being diagnosed with Heart Failure? I have an Ejection Fraction between 30%-35%. I had 1 stent in the LAD in July. Had angina as well. Is it advisable to have the flu jab?

Timing of flu vaccine when on weekly Tocilizumab
Hello all After an unsuccessful trial of 5 months without Tocilizumab, I am back on weekly injections. It's also time to have my flu jab. In the past when on two-weekly and three-weekly injections it was easy to fit the flu vaccine in not too close to the injections. Now, the best I could do would be

symptoms
hello, I’ve had Covid vaccine last Friday and I still feel rubbish. Tired, nauseous , dizzy and forgetful. It’s like my brain doesn’t work properly. This is vaccine number 5. I had number 4 last year at the same time as the flu vaccine and I was really poorly. But the side effects didn’t last that long

Exercise and PMR
I am posting an update and a question. Since discovering I have PMR in Sept 2023 and starting on Pred at 15 mg, I have had a slightly bumpy start to my PMR journey. Was getting used to being on Pred when I had a visit from the Covid fairy which took a couple of weeks to clear, but I still feel I have

Started my grandmother on TTFD
I am my grandmother's primary care taker. I recently learned about HDT and decided to try it on her. Every morning I videotape her eating, which I will use to see if her condition gets better or worse over time. She is 87, having parkinson's for at least 25 years. In the last year her on-state dyskinesia

Good resources regarding vagal AFIB?
Does anyone have any good resources (articles, YouTube videos) directed to vagally-mediated AFIB (the type that occurs after a large meal or while sleeping)? I believe my AFIB was triggered by endurance athletics (I used to do long bike rides and probably overdid it and stressed my body too much).

My Grim anniversary, Vaccine Type and Timing
With multiple fall vaccines now in use it seems timely to share our experience and advice on the timing of them. This has been discussed briefly in various threads. I invite comments on the below: In the past there was just an annual flu shot and its timing was just "sometime in the fall". No other

The Cause of my Afib - a short essay but a long post!
Apparently as human beings we are programmed to look for causes. It seems to be a stage many of us Afibbers go through despite the good advice of those with more knowledge and experience. So I thought it could be helpful to share my own journey through the folly of myth making and lost causes. And

Coincidence?
I was doing very well on peg interferon, which I started in July. I felt loads better than I had for a long time, with negligible side effect. However, the last few weeks I have been really tired and getting breathless after the slightest movement. I had my blood results on Tuesday, my haemoglobin had

FDA Warning: Covid & Flu Vaccines

Careful about vaccinations....
You think i'd learn that people voice opinions about taking vaccinations, but they are people without MS. I heard over and over again that it was safe to take both your flu vaccination and your Covid-19 current updated vaccination on the same day. Well, for me, that wasn't exactly the smartest thing

SIRVA
anyone have any experience with SIRVA? I am confident I am struggling with this in my left arm. It is not from B12 but from a flu shot. Pain for weeks following injection. Loss of strength and range of motion.

Taurine and ADT weight gain
One thing that many PCa endurers see occurring despite their best efforts is weight gain while on ADT. Does the community have any info on whether taurine can help, in conjunction with lots of exercise? I found a couple articles that it might.

Combining the Influenza and COVID-19 vaccines.
I have read of some people who got both vaccines at the same time, and their experience was not good. However perhaps a different kind of Influenza vaccine combined with a COVID-19 vaccine might make things easier.? This approach is now being tested. Pfizer and BioNTech Announce Positive Topline

Can shingrix vaccination effect platelet count?
Hi everyone I’ve just been for my 4 month appointment with my haematologist and my platelets have increased from 375 to 460. He wants me to come back in 2 months time and then if platelets not reduced my hydroxycarbemide will be increased. I’m on 9 tablets a week for ET aged 71 and fit. I’m not keen
