I am on synthroid for so many years I’m not sure if it’s working right or not. I’ve lost unintentionally lost a lot weight, I have muscle weakness, soft nails, and a hard time sleeping.

Welcome aboard, have you some recent blood tests results to share? Sounds like you could be over replaced

I’m sorry, what does over replaced mean? I haven’t heard this before.

It means your dose may be too high now.

Funny story. When I was first put on synthroid 0.25 mcg my doctor said my body overdosed on it. So I could only take a half of a dose, the blood work is fine. But I’m not

So, perhaps you would like to share your latest blood work with us? We might be able to spot the problem.

I think the easiest way is to type them out, like this:

Date, dose

TSH result (range)

FT4 result (range)

FT3 result (range)

Plus any nutrient or antibody results you might have.
