TSH result

hi, currently on Synthroid 75mcg Mon-Sat and 100mcg Sunday. Felt slight better about 30-40% not that tired tinittus slight faint. Would be possible to increase my dose to 75mcg Mon- Fri and 100mcg Sat/Sun.

Please advise i want to get back around 80% of my life. Since been hypo i have been very tired and tinnitus is playing up.

You have plenty of room to increase your dose:

FT4: 17.7 pmol/l (Range 12 - 22) 57.00%

FT3: 1.4 pmol/l (Range 0.7 - 4.2) 20.00%

You're actually under-replaced. Your FT3 is much too low. If I were you, I'd increase your dose to 100 mcg every day. And even that wouldn't be a huge dose and you'll probably need another increase before you're done. But stay on 100 daily for the next six weeks and then retest.

Thanke Greygoose my concern after my RAI last july 2024 my doctor started me with Eltroxin 100mcg daily but unfortunately my TSH went high. Would that be too much if i start 100 mcg ? Please see result..

A high TSH means you were under-replaced. It was high because your thyroid hormone levels were too low. So, no, 100 mcg would not be too much - probably not even enough.

thanks i will tell my GP to get back to 100mcg daily and retest in 6 weeks. God bless

was test early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Was last dose day before test 75mcg or 100mcg

Free T4 (fT4) 17.7 pmol/L (12 - 22) 57.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 4.1 pmol/L (3.9 - 6.8) 6.9%

Shows very poor conversion of Ft4 (levothyroxine ) to Ft3 (active hormone)

ESSENTIAL to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

What vitamin supplements are you taking

For good conversion of Ft4 to Ft3 we need GOOD vitamin levels

Tinnitus often linked to low B12

Hi Yes test was done before 9am and last dose 24 hours of levo. Havent dont my bloods for vitamin D , folate and ferritin and vitamin B12. Since my levo dose is up my ft3 improved , i have noted that feeling tired in the morning had improved except for tinnitus which had improved a bit.

Get vitamin levels tested at least annually

Many (most?) people on levothyroxine need to supplement vitamin D, separate magnesium and separate vitamin B complex daily

Some also need separate B12, especially initially
