Support and Advice
A further 2 fractures were discovered later during
surgery
and these were also operated on. I was referred to an amazing surgeon who got me into hospital as soon as possible and performed a Procedure called Kyphoplasty. This improved my mobility but I am still in a great deal of pain.

Chest Twinges after ASD closure?
I am on day 4 after a ASD closure using the wonder of key hole
surgery
. I am doing fine aside from the fatigue of the general anaesthetic but I am experiencing some funny twinges in my heart. I guess that’s the organ getting used to the foreign device?

Cancer that doesn't express PSMA
I had another follow-up with the urologist who did the
surgery
this week, and he believed that I have a cancer that does not express PSA, and therefore a PSMA might not be as valuable. He suggested a repeat "regular cancer" PET scan instead of a repeat PSMA.

Got a phone call from the
surgery
to say my GP will ring me in 3 weeks to see how I'm getting on. Chased up the respiratory clinic to see when I might get my first appointment. Now got one for end of September.

Diagnosis
I asked about the Podiatrist at the
surgery
, he said it wasn't necessary. He also told me without looking, that I'd probably have it in my other foot as well. He's an experienced GP and deals with the elderly patients at the
surgery
so I'm not questioning his diagnosis.

terrible Pulsatile tinnitus
Does anyone know of
surgery
offered to correct the loop from pressing on 8th cranial nerve? Can’t imagine having to live life with loud continuous pulsing in ear. Websites not full of hope for any solution. Does anyone know of anyone who’s had
surgery
. J

Should I ask for a CA125 test or just wait until my next ultrasound in 2 months to see if the mass is still the same size?
If it grows, then have the
surgery
, but if it stays the same or shrinks then we can discontinue monitoring it after a year. I opted to see how it goes with ultrasounds. I mean I guess it's good it was 3.2 cm back in March when first noticed and 4 months later it's remained the same size.

Anticoagulants
Just a quick question , I just realised my
surgery
is closed today (silly me) and I can’t pick up my latest prescription until Tuesday . I will run out of my anticoagulant Edoxaban tonight so I won’t be able to take any for the next 3 days .

Good Morning Everyone 🥰
Going in the 26th for cervical spine injections 🤞🏼 They talked about
surgery
but not excited about that, but not completely out of the question, will see. Time to get feeding tube replaced and pain pump in a couple of months.

Stabbing headache.. GCA? Update
I phoned the
surgery
and had a call back from the "advanced practitioner" within 15 minutes. She asked all the right questions and arranged an appointment with my GP for 2 hours later. GP is of the opinion that I have a trapped nerve.

I received first line chemo + Avastin, interval, suboptimal
surgery
then commenced Olaparib. Avastin continued for the permitted time and Olaparib kept me progression free until July 2024. My oncologist offered chemo (Carbo/Caelyx) as my next option.

Symptoms worse after internal exam
I have had my endometriosis removed with
surgery
before (about 10 years ago) and I have been blessed to have 3 children since then. Anyway I have essentially lived with the return of my endometriosis- I have a High pain threshold for the most part for 10 years.

post-op incisions
Hi everyone, I had
surgery
(ovarian cystectomy & excision of endometriosis) on 18/02/24 One of my wounds seems to be open. I feel ‘fobbed off’ by doctors who state it will close on its own. Did anyone else’s incisions look like this? Did they heal okay?

Maternity clothes?
I don't have any as I've never been pregnant, but wondered if anyone has gone down this route either while struggling with bloating or post
surgery
?

CP and Endometriosis?
I had a laparoscopy, and I was told I had scar tissue from "a previous
surgery
", only I'd never had
surgery
! Turns out it was endometriosis, which causes scar tissue.

post trauma , major depression and anxiety help
He went to hospital had a back fusion
surgery
, and many broken ribs . Docs said he’s head was okay at that time. Recovered after a few months from the physical issues , although some pain but it’s manageable.

Tocilizumab and heartburn
I’m finally back on Tocilizumab after an ankle replacement, 2 bouts of C-diff, a chest infection and minor
surgery
for an ingrowing toenail. It’s been a bad 3 months and my RA has been flaring the whole time with little I could take other than paracetamol.

sun exposure
hi, does anyone have any insight or tips relating to sun exposure post open heart
surgery
? I had a replacement valve in the Spring and all is going well but when we venture abroad in August I know I’ll need to be careful.
