Does anyone here continue to have blood in their phlegm after recovering from pneumonia?
I finished taking my medication a week ago, and I haven't been getting much phlegm these days. But now I see blood spots in the phlegm, I have an x-ray tomorrow.I am very worried, my mind sometimes drifts to dark thoughts.

Restarting RA meds after having Covid
Hi allI had Covid and took antivirals. I tested positive on the 12th October and first tested negative on the 17th October. The nurse said I can have my Tocilizimab injection now. 10 eggs at EC, only 3 fertilised!
Hi all, I know it only takes one, but I also know at 42 that time isn’t on my side. (I’m 42 OE, OH is 51, I know, geriatric mother!) First ever IVF round and first ever EC yesterday (Saturday 13th). I had 6/7 juicy follicles on Wednesday and another 6 just behind and retrieved 10 eggs on the day (

Urologist / Andrologist
Hello lovely people, Could you please recommend (PM me, please) an urologist or andrologist in Milton Keynes area or London who can help us to investigate 100% antibodies in semen? My partner already had advanced semen tests like DNA fragmentation etc, however the only two worrying factors are 100%

Loosing hope
Hi everyone - sorry, this is a long one! Grab a brew… Our first IVF round failed in February and we didn’t get any in the freezer. My OH’s semen analysis was really positive, so the focus has been on me with my low AMH levels, previous ovarian surgery and age (38). We only got 2 eggs, both fertilised

Covid - Beware Getting Treatment - Don’t Test Positive on a Friday - Some Answers
Well I said I would update you all regarding the ordeal I had had regarding my previous posts on this subject. Don’t want to bore you all but some may be interested in what I have managed to find out. I laid out to the NHS what I needed answers to and what they were doing about it to prevent it happening

Chest infection without steroids
Hi, I am recently diagnosed with asthma - back in September with an awful 12 days in hospital after a cold became bronchitis. Was on oxygen etc. I am a man in early 40s. I had another cold in early November which afterwards led to coughing up thick green stuff and bad wheezing. Took steroids and antibiotics

Effect of Covid on Platelets
I’ve had thrombocythaemia for many years and it’s been well controlled initially by Hydroxycarbamide and in more recent years by Hydroxycarbamide and Anagrelide together. At the beginning of September I developed covid and tested positive over a period of twenty days. Early in October during a face

COVID 19 Lateral Flow test kits are to be collected from a community pharmacy if the pharmacy chooses to sign up for the service from November 6th. From this date LFTs will no longer be available to order online or through the NHS 119 service.

PMR & COVID Vaccine Link?
In another thread which I began on a different subject, the possibility of a link between PMR and COVID vaccine came up. In that thread, for the first time I saw something other than idle speculation that the vaccine and PMR might be l inked: A study published[u] in the journal Rheumatology

blood test whilst with a cold?
due for a blood test later today, which I would normally have before my Rheumy visit (scheduled for next week) Come down with a blooming cold, started a few days ago - I’ve been reasonably lucky to have by passed most doing the rounds of our office 😬 - just done a COVID test to make sure and it’s come

Methylene Blue: Biohacker's Delight, or Playing With Fire? Chris Masterjohn, PhD is Not Too Keen on MB :( Insanely Detailed Video!
I take a small amount of MB twice a day. As close as I can tell from this insanely detailed video, this PhD probably thinks I am making a mistake :(

My GCA Update
I just got done with my MRIs and MRAs, so we’ll see if results show much. My blood test came back with sed rate normal (always has been) and C-reactive prrotein headed down. It went from normal in PMR, to 1.3 and then 2.0 in GCA. Now at 0.8, so barely high and heading in the right direction. Still feeling

ICSI and low fertilisation rates
I had a failed first round with no fertilisation with IVF. I’ve just had my second with ICSI 21 eggs, 14 mature and three have fertilised normally. A bit disappointed with low fertilisation rates. If there’s only one I’ll go for fresh transfer on Friday and if more than one I’ll go for day 5 Sunday.
