Update: Our 3 on Day 3

The dreaded call!

Thank you everyone, so v much for support and advice after our EC on Saturday (10 eggs collected > 8 mature > 3 did not fertilise > 2 did, but abnormally > 3 fertilised normally).

(First round of IVF and ICSI at 42y/o).

Had our day 3 call with the embryologist today.

None of the 3 that had not fertilised yet did in the end - which they expected.

Of the 3 that did fertilise, all are dividing well - with 1 already nearly a morula.

Now ofc we have to get to Thursday for our day 5 results, and to know if any can be biopsied and go on to PGT-A testing. I know there are a lot more hurdles yet, but I feel so much more positive and hopeful. Let's see.

Now just need to stop crying and feeling bloated and all will be well with the world, ha.

Hope everyone is ok today and coping with their own waits well. I'm glad I'm not off work (for me), as keeping busy is helping a little.

That is so very kind Janet, thank you.

I was so crushed on Sunday with the results, but so much more focused and positive now, knowing those 3 are doing well, and well within range for expectations for this stage. I know lots might change, but right now, things are good and I remain "realistically optimistic" at this stage. EEK!
