slightly anxious and just looking for moral support
Hoping you all had a good Christmas. Mine has been a bit rough as the whole family has been unwell including me with this cold/throat bug that is going around. It didn’t go to my chest this year, thankfully and I was recovering okay when I noticed my throat and ears started hurting again and my mouth

Cold Turkey
Hello Everyone, What happens if i just "Cold Turkey" Stop the 6.5 mg of methylprednisolone? I'm so sick of it all. I've gotten very low on meds (even zero for a few days) and the pain and stiffness return so bad i can't function. If i just quit, what's the worst that can happen?

arrhythmia and the flu and Covid vaccine
Hi all! I had a physical on Wednesday and since I hadn’t received my flu and Covid vaccine yet this year went ahead and got them. I came home and did a workout and felt fine until evening when fever and chills hit along with some mild sporadic heart arrhythmia. I took it easy the next couple days and

PEG vs Aspirational Pneumonia
Mum has reached a new point in her illness and food intake is now causing her to be sick on occasion which is ultimately leading to seizures and a risk of choking. We have been told the only way to ultimately stop this is via a peg or accept that this will eventually lead to her choking getting pneumonia

this might help
i’ve had scabies for the last month and a half, and I have done as much research as possible. Couldn’t find anything that was working for me today I took petroleum jelly, mixed it with tea tree oil, smothered my body in. It sat around in it for five hours, watching the scabies pour out of my body, wiping

GCA and Cough/Interstitial Lung Disease?
Does anyone with GCA have a dry, sometimes productive, cough? It feels like a bronchial irritation and I cough more when I speak. The cough comes and goes. I read that it is an uncommon symptom of GCA. TB has been ruled out. Chest x-rays show opacities in the base of my lungs. The cough occurs

ADT and crying
Does anyone else that has been on ADT drugs for years have trouble with tears or crying for no real reason? I tear up anymore at just the thought of something sad. It’s a major pain in the ass, not to mention embarrassing because I am still employed. Wondering if there is a solution other than stopping

Stopped Methotrexate being screened for Adalimumab
So after being on Methotrexate (injections) for 2 years since diagnosis and feeling dreadful on it (swollen fingers, nausea, constant headaches, depression) I last injected on 18th December 2023. Needless to say my RA is raging in every joint now! Just had a steroid injection and being screened for

persistent oral thrush
I've been on an increased dose of prednisolone since August last year. I've started reducing since January (tried before with a flare-up). I also use a steroid inhaler for asthma (and rinse afterwards). I have frequent problems with oral thrush. Unfortunately the stuff that seemed to work best - the
