Life as it has been for me since I can remember.
When I found out I was pregnant I was also diagnosed with

throat
, tonsilitis, a kidney infection, and sinus infection. My primary care doctor and spoke about this after I was told I may have APS because it showed my immune system was compromised.

Mouth affected by PD?
My mouth is going crazy with dental issues, but also dryness, bad taste that does not leave, burning, tongue irritations. My friends suggested all these are the result of PD. I hope they are wrong. Is anyone else having "mouth issues?"

Has anyone managed to get over tonsillitis or a chest infection ok but is left with a niggling cough for weeks after, that will not go away?
This cough affects John especially in the evening and in the night and he is struggling to shake it off. Has anyone else experienced this?

Oral Thrush
Can anyone give me some advice? I've had almost permanent oral thrush since last April despite being on oral steroids and nebulised steroids since 2005 and only having the odd issue. Normally it would respond to a course of flucanazole but since last year the only drug which hs worked has been amphoteracin

I know lots of people have posted about this in the past but would love some opinions. I take lots of inhaled steroids, seretide accuhaler and budesonide turbohaler, so don't use a spacer. I have never had a thrush problem. I saw the consultant on Friday, who looked at my throat, said it looked abit

Tonsillitis
Hi everyone Just wondering if anyone here gets tonsillitis? I never used to but I've now had it twice in the last two years and it's soooo painful. I thought it was only something that kids got? (i'm 25!) I also had glandular fever last year and was wondering if the two could be connected? Lejaya

Well thats £160 gone on one tooth! Wish I earned that kind of money for half an hours work! Still, its a good job and the mess the old dentist had left has been tidied up and I can now eat on that side! He had left me with no tooth contact! Had a word with the dentist [she is very nice and no pain

I've been AWOL! Strep A is not nice.....
It is supposed to help with the fibro, it didn't even help take the
throat
pain away. So when I'm recovered from the
strep
I'm gonna go and see what else they can give me...which actually works. I've been reliant on my morphine the past few days.

Lupus & oral thrush?
I'm also suffering endless bouts of oral thrush since last October but as I've got both lupus & Sjogren's I've tended to put it down to the latter. Intrigued to discover that lupus can also be a cause as my GP feels I'm most likely currently in a flare. I've had thedx for 15 years almost but have only

Has anyone had any experience of a terrible taste in the mouth (like having swallowed perfume)?
Last night I woke up choking like my sputum had "gone down the wrong hole" and had a coughing fit. When I got my breath back I had a horrific taste in my mouth that made me gip it was that bad & only sucking on a mint then brushing my teeth & tongue took the taste away. I have been taking an antibiotic
