SCT update
I’m now on day +284 & so far seem to be progressing well. I know things may change, but hopefully I’ll continue to progress. I’m managing to walk most days, weather permitting, although I do get tired in the evening. My tablets are now being decreased & my hair is growing back grey & curly - not happy

low cortisol
hello, I’ve repeatedly had lowish 9am cortisol (around 250ish mark) but passed SST. However, private endo has said he wants to trial a low dose of hydrocortisone to see if it helps my symptoms of chronic fatigue, headaches, muscle aches etc. etc. I’m nervous to trial a steroid when I don’t have Addison

Hi you lovely lot I don’t post much but really appreciate the knowledge and expertise shown on this site. I read all posts and research as much as I possibly can to manage my condition. So, I’m currently on 100mcg levo prescribed by GP somewhat reluctantly. I was taking 125mcg for a while as I thought

GP appointment went well!
So I had a follow up appointment about my latest blood results… vitamin D was at 174 and ferritin at 43.5 ug/L (20.0 - 130.0) My GP was not concerned about my vitamin D level and said resume at whatever I am taking as it’s not a toxic level 🤷🏻♀️ The ferritin level however he agreed is in range but

Persistent cough and possible asthma diagnosis
Hello. I’m new here and keen to find out if other people with asthma have experienced the symptoms I have. I have had a persistent cough for about 4 months. Generally I feel a pressure in my chest and lower throat where it feels like a can’t breath. I then cough as this feels like it relieves the pressure

T4/T3 struggle
I’m writing this because I can’t seem to lose weight since I was diagnosed/put on medication 2 years ago. I was at least 15kg less before medication. I keep gaining despite eating clean. I am on 75mcg levo and about 3mcg of Cytomel. (I weigh 88kg) I gained most of the weight since I started Cytomel

Can pernicious anaemia be caused by long term use of lansoprazole?
Hello everyone, I am a lady of 67. Ive been taking lansoprazole for years. Then I began to feel ill with various symptoms the doctor was not interested in or would virtually say I was a hypocondriac. I nagged and got sent to a consultant who said I had neurological problems caused by fibromylgia and

Questions for Endocrinologist
Today is the day, I am finally seeing an endocrinologist. Any suggestions of things to ask? Trying to be optimistic about the appointment but quietly cautious. Below are the questions I have so far: - FT3 measurement to ensure adequate conversion - Pregnancy monitoring and appropriate FT4 and TSH levels

Been told "no longer need injections"
So I had my latest b12 injection yesterday. I just received a text from the doctor saying that "I no longer need B12 injections and can have oral supplements from October". I don't understand this as initially when I was first diagnosed I was given oral supplements to try for 2 months initially. My serum
