Sussex hospitals no longer giving fT4 result on thyroid function tests
Hello, Writing this post in case it helps prepare others rather than for advice (but feel free to advise if you wish!). I had a blood test last Friday not because of hypothyroidism but the test included "thyroid function". My results came back with just TSH being reported, no fT4 as I have been used

private testing
hi all, I hope you’re well. I’d like to ask about the finger prick home tests that Blue Horizon offers. How are they able to check all of the below markers with such a small blood sample? I’m aware that containers are super small and they claim to be testing a lot: Inclusions: TSH, FT4, FT3, TT4

Sorry! Where is the thyroid meds list?
Hi there, I didn’t get on with Morningside T3 but get on fine with Thybon Henning. Problem is, I take 2.5mcg doses and splitting this from a 20mcg tablet isn’t easy. Can someone please point me in the direction of the list of different types of T3? I’d like to avoid one with Acacia as didnt get on well

Iron infusion & over symptoms
Hey all,I was wondering if anyone experienced thyroid overmedication symptoms after iron IV? It's day 3 today, I have much better energy, but also feel jittery and hot at times. I assume iron is making the cellular absorption better and increases conversion. I'll probably do another ft4 ft3 test soon

Direct measurement of T3 likely vital say researchers
This may have already been shared but I just came across an article about a new study that has stated that "It is important to note that the more typically measured biomarkers for thyroid function (T4 and TSH) are poorly linked to free T3 levels," Lawton and colleagues wrote. The ratio of TSH:T4 explained

Tiny Levo increase but FT4 well over range
Just got results back from MMH. I’ll add historical results for comparison but they may be irrelevant as I am where I am! I take Levo only. Ranges were 3.1-6 for FT3 and 12-22 for all tests. 2021 on 100mcg TSH 0.01 FT4 24.9=129% (12-22) FT3 6.5=91.89% (3.1-6.8) Note: insomnia much improved

High prolactin and SHBG related to thyroid?
Hello, Ever since my thyroid went wonky my SHBG and Prolactin have been sky high. I tested again recently and they are both still sky high and my last test was March. Did anyone else experience this? I’d have thought after nearly 9 months on levo these would have come down a bit but they’re still

Consultation with Prof Walker
So I had a private consultation with Prof Walker last month. I used to take 0.25g ropinorol some time back and went up to 0.5g and felt that I was augmenting so came off it. Managed for some time without medication but over lockdown/menopause the RLS became much worse so I went onto Gapapentin. Although

GP Levothyroxine review appointment today
Today I had my appointment with the GP to review my Levothyroxine. He introduced himself as the GP that I am registered with not the one I was told I would see. He is Indian and even using the microphone that bluetooths directly into my hearing aids he was very difficult to understand. Several times

Natural or Medicated FET?
Hi all Just looking for your experiences on FET’s, and whether you found you had better luck with medicated or non medicated? We have had 2 Non medicated FETs (1 with intrellipids) in 2021/2022 with both ending in early losses. We have frozen eggs and the doctor has suggested next time round

Possible NHS trial of t3 - advice please?
Hello lovely people Could I possibly ask for some advice please? I've been having a bit of a drama with my medication and treatment from an NHS endo. My latest blood test results are TSH 0.04 (0.27-4.2) FT4 23.1 (12-22) FT3 4.7 (3.1-6.8) I moved to west Wales last spring. Until last summer I was

T4 level rise
Hi, does anyone have an idea of why T4 levels can rise? My t4 was 13.8 and 4 weeks later 48.2, I’ve not changed a thing! Not taken anything new, had no stress or illness this month, it’s been a pretty quiet one! If it’s not a lab error could it be due to another autoimmune disease that I don’t know of

Feeling Terrible. Latest Results
Hi All, Since early November, things seem to have gone off balance with me. I have been 'parked' on 50mg of Thyroxine, since 2020. I have asked for a rise several times and been refused. Recent surge in symptons are growing in number and affecting me badly now. Lots of muscle and tendon pain all

Blood test percentages over years.
This is an amazing forum. Thank you so much to the admin team and the people who've taken the time to reply to my previous posts. I'd be lost without you 🙏 One of the most important things that I've learnt on here is to work out the percentage through the range with respect to blood tests. With
