undiagnosed, any suspicions/advice welcome
I thought it was my asthma initially starting to flare up so saw my Gp and obvs were okay and prescribed
steroids
. I couldn’t collect them until the evening but by lunch time I felt my heart rate was very rapid and I felt awful. I took six puffs of ventolin spaced out that day.

Adalimumab & Fatigue
Steroids
worked well but not sustainable. I eventually agreed to get onto biologics with some trepidation. I’ve had 4 doses (week 8) and I am horrendously fatigued. Methotrexate famously gives me the ‘hang over’ the day after but since starting Amgevita I’m absolutely wiped out.

Upcoming restricted supply of prenisolone in the UK?
This comes as a big surprise to me as I've always believed
steroids
were as cheap as chips! It seems the NHS are not engaging with pharmacists to recognise the problem. Do you think anyone is fighting our corner on this?

Daughter’s lung biopsy
Antibiotics do seem to do the trick, sometimes given
steroids
if the infection causes her asthma to flair up. She’s getting an infection roughly every 2 to 3 months, chest physio not really reducing them, though I don’t think she sterilises her equipment like she should when at university.

Allergic to the sun?
Hi, I've had lots of things go wrong over time, but this is new. I was doing a little gardening, and I mean a little, on Saturday, I felt my feet tingling in the sunshine but didn't think anything of it. I thought i had prickly heat so sat with my feet in a bucket of icy water put some sudocrem on

GCA flare, a lesson learnt
I was admitted, I was given
steroids
immediately. An iv drip was given for 2 days, I was seen by a rheumatologist, twice. I was seen by an ophthalmologist, my sight had been saved, oh thank goodness! I had an MRI. They have said that they now understand me, they can treat my GCA, we have a plan!!!

My daughter is constantly in and out of ED unable to breath with asthma and stridor she is currently on steroids and doxycycline
My daughter has a long history of problems related to her breathing when she gets to the emergency department she has 100% oxygen yet she is struggling with a tight chest this sometimes turns into stridor which after having nebs seems to go after about an hour. Doctors often say its anxiety that causes

Long term use of steroids
Had PMR for 10+ years and taking Prednisone in various amounts over those years. Have tried several times to wean myself off but lowest dosage I've been able to cope with is 6mg. I take lansoprazole twice a day.I have now been diagnosed with gastritis following a long spell of digestive issues. Have

elevated liver enzymes
Does anyone else have experience of raised liver enzymes whilst takin
steroids
? My recent blood test showed a GGT ( gamma gluts ultrasound transferease) reading of 340. A normal reading should be under 30. It has not been elevated in former blood tests. I am taking 12 mgs defazacort per day.

re-starting preds after a break
The GP said best to try paracetamol x 8/day rather than rush into
steroids
again, while I have some scans and get referred to rheumatology. I have but minimal effect.

Protein in my urine
I was given many IV infusions to help stop the rejection (Rituxan and
Steroids
). The UTI was actually a blessing in disguise because without that, they would not have found the autoimmune disease perhaps in time to stop the attack on my new kidney.

Row31 and YWA focussing on Core
Basically, Row31’s workout was the YWA session on
steroids
! 🤣🥵🤣🥵 Both left me holding my abdominals, but have to admit I think I’ll be using YWA sessions fore core workouts!
