High Blood Pressure during the Night.
Hi, I wonder if anyone is able to help me with a high blood pressure issue. I have had Paroxysmal Afib for about 10 years and managed Ok other than the occasional visit to A&E when the HR won't drop from 140 and then have had to have a Cardio Version, one full version and another one via an injection

Dismayed
After waiting twelve months to see an EP regarding my AF which I have had for twenty years I told him I came off Sotalol 320mg a day because it made me feel so unwell with my GP guidance of course. He thought not having any medication at all for control was not a good thing because I will go into permanent

Third time UNlucky……..
Third time UNlucky…….. Just been told today that my CA-125 is up again at 235. I have a consultant appointment next week but just wondered if any of you lovely ladies had any words of wisdom for third line treatment? What did you have and have you managed a period of remission after third line treatment

Stopping amiodarone, phrenic nerve and cryoablation?
Hi, Id posted a few weeks ago about bad side effects I was having on amiodarone and am glad to say my EP stopped it and replaced with sotalol. Really hoping this works as it is my only hope left. My EP was great he clearly explained why he cant do anymore RF ablations and showed me the 3D image of my

What a first day back
Hi all, my mom had her first chemo yesterday for her first recurrence. I had mentioned a few weeks back that they were watching and waiting with her, but her doctor felt her numbers were going up too high, too fast, and decided to act now. She's getting Carbo and Taxol, the same as the first time,

Herceptin anyone ?
Hello again everyone. I have just started weekly Taxol (HER +, ER neg ,Grade 2 ,stage 1/2 lobular ) I was going to have Herceptin at the same time but they have decided I need another heart scan first. I am apparently borderline for having it. I have been reading a lot of conflicting comments about Herceptin

Medication before Taxol
Hi still suffering with blocked bowel and daily sickness. Just praying it will get better. Fed up of spending every night on the sofa because I can't lie down. However just wanted some advice on Taxol. The last two sessions I have had I seem to have had a bad reaction to the medications they give me

MRI results
Hello everyone. So I went for the results of the MRI Dr. Says he suspects the OC has spread to my liver but needs to confirm it with a biopsy. I was not prepared for that. I was expecting to hear it's just scar tissue or a bad scan. I am trying to be brave but I'm truly terrified . The first round

High Blood Pressure after ablation
I have had 15 yrs of paroxysmal aFib. I just had an ablation in January, 2018. Since the ablation, my HR is really high, i.e., 90+bpm, and it was always 72bpm before the heart meds made it 55bpm for 2 yrs. My most recent med was sotalol, and I stopped that after the ablation. The fast HR doesn't bother

4 AC down, 1 Taxol down, 11 to go...
Can't believe I'm now over half way through chemo! The fourth AC hit me more than the previous ones, but they're done now and I had my first Taxol last week. So far so good - vague sensation of jaw aching at times but not much else. Although I had a massive dose of steroids with the first infusion and

Blocked bowel
I am on third line weekly taxol. Had third dose on Monday. Disappointing had to start this as finished Caelyx in October with good results. CA125 down to 219 which is good for me. Now 2319. In the two years since diagnosis never felt ill and been able to carry on with life and all exercise classes. Since

Enlarged left atrium
Hi everyone. Well hubby has been off since September 2017 with AF. Had one electro fusion which worked sort of for 5 days, then back in AF and ecg and mri confirmed. Consultant referred hubby to another consultant for ablation and this new guy has been the first to tell us that his left atrium is stretched

Fast heartbeats and flutter do not react to medication
Have had two ablations so far for afib and flutter None , and I m not exagerating none of the twelve or thirteen types of medication or combinations I have been given have worked, bottom line they make no difference to heart rate or rythm, and produce dire side effects Sotalol and Flecanaide landed

What next?
Hi lovely ladies. Sending you all a big hug. I had a car accident yesterday morning. Sitting there in my car minding my own business and humming along to something (can’t remember what) on the radio then bang. A woman ploughed straight into me. She said her breaks just failed. I was very shaken up

Chemotherapy, a Trusty Weapon Against Cancer, Falls Out of Favor
Interesting read from the Wall Street Journal: some oncologists are no longer recommending chemotherapy as a treatment option. What are your thoughts? Does the article resonate with you in any way? Full article below and here: http://on.wsj.com/2DOOX5y "Chemotherapy, a Trusty Weapon Against Cancer,

Caelyx not worked
Found out on Friday that my two rounds of Caelyx have not worked. My CA125 is now a little over 23,000. So glad I pushed for a review before I had the 3rd infusion. Have had carbo/taxol and then weekly taxol over last 2 years with regrowth happening quickly or in case of taxol before the cycle had

"You are stable" - well, I never expected to hear that today.
Added after post: Above are some of the images from my PET Scans for last July and October. I haven't got last week's to show unfortunately. I wanted to show how much tumours can diminish with just carbo and avastin in the hope it gives hope to everyone - especially those who may be Stage 4B, as
