This sounds bizarre but I started taking Sotalol Teva 80 mg two months ago and after an initial difficult week as my body got used to the drug felt very well .
For my second months supply I went to a different chemist that gave me Sotalol Biogaran .
I know they are exactly the same drug but I am now experiencing the same symptoms as I did when first starting taking the drug , feeling giddy , very tired etc
I know it doesn't make sense but I just wondered if anyone else has had the same experience
Any comments gratefully received !

Hi mabe you could have a word with the pharmacist he should be able to help, I am not on that drug, but one of the meds I do take my cardiologist has said never ever to use a different brand as although the actual drug is the same different compounds are used to make them and people have had problems if changed, most of the rest of my meds are fine with different manufacturers just two of them must be the same all the time, char
Thank you thanksnhs for your reply .I have just seen the pharmacist , he doesn't really understand why I should react so differently to the two different drugs as they should be exactly the same .He suggested I talk to the cardiologist about it at my next appointment .
But very kindly he has given me a further months supply of the original drug companies Sotalol ,which I will certainly keep to in future
