Recent SCS Implant
Good morning to everyone. I've recently had a spinal cord stimulator implanted and whilst the spinal site is healing really well and I am getting pain relief, the battery unit implanted on my left side on my lower ribs is driving me mad!. It is extremely painful, sticks out quite considerably and precludes

Spinal cord stimulator: one year later
I have Complex regional pain syndrome in my left arm which occur due to a fracture to my ulnar styloid. In 2016 I had a spinal cord stimulator implanted to help control the pain and allow me to have use of my arm. I was lucky enough for it to work well for me. In feb 2017 I started training as a chef

I’m new here
I was diagnosed in April of 2011 with metastatic Breast Cancer. I am being treated at Sloan Kettering in NYC. My metastasis had spread to lymph nodes, spine, and bone. I was treated with hormonal anti estrogen meds and participated in three clinical trials. No drama until spring of 2016 when I began

Anyone with spinal cord stimulator?
I'm considering one for neuropathy in my feet. Not diagnosed with MS yet (going to MS clinic on Thursday, yay!). My pain doc said it might be hard to get insurance to cover it for MS related pain. Curious if anyone else has one?

New here-going to MS clinic this week
My Qs: anyone here diagnosed with normal lumbar puncture? Or misdiagnosed with migraine before MS diagnosis? This seems like a lovely community. I'm just going to jump in as I have my first MS clinic appt this week. I have seen two neurologists that say my mri lesions are migraine but my GP said no way

Pudental Neuralgia
Prior to having a Spinal Cord Stimulator implanted I had another lumbar MRI. I knew from an earlier MRI I had a bulging L5S1 disc This MRI showed the L5S1 disc had ruptured. I have read on line this can lead to Caudal Equina Syndrome as well as cause compression of Pudental nerve via the Piriformis

May or May Not have PC
My PSA is 44. Has been gradually increasing for about 8 years. I know the PSA itself is of little value, but see it as a tool. My Naturopath has had a number between 60-100 for 20 years. I would only become concerned if it started leaping upward. One biopsy was enough. Won't do another. No surgery. No

Hello everyone, I new on here and I am in the process of possibly being diagnosed with lupus. When I was 15 I had a major spinal fusion and shortly after my surgery I began having severe joint pain. My surgeon suggested I had arthritis in my hips and knees from my conformation. Several years later I

Radiofrequency ablation NHS
**Update I'm having round 2 today, and so far round 1 has led to a 44% reduction. Hi guys, Yesterday I was the 5th person to have radiofrequency ablation (RFA) within the NHS in the UK. This only works for those with healthy thyroid but benign nodules, so if that applied to you read on. I had to

Nervo Spinal Cord Stimulation
I am new to the site. I am considering the use of the Nervo device to relieve my pain. I am signed up for the trial next month and I wonder if anyone who has had experience with the device would share the benefits and any bad news.

What happens after a failed trial spinal cord stimulator?
I had a discectomy 2 years ago which although successful in an anatomical sense resulted in failed back surgery. I attended an 8-day course at St Thomas's on neuromodulation. A month after that I underwent a trial for a spinal cord stimulator. It didn't offer me much respite pain wise and decided

Hello, I'm a newbie but have been registered for a little while now, reading members posts via the app. I've put weight on over the years and I'm now at my heaviest and I hate it. The reason why - a bad back for many years culminating in spinal surgery last Christmas. I've got a fantastic physio

Military member seeking spinal health advice.
Spinal fusion complications post op that required operation 10ish days later. IM still having issues and starting my medical board out of the navy. I know I still have a lot of issues to deal with and I know my body tends to get worse with stress. Do you know of any stress lowering techniques or advice
