Are the finance programmes worth it?
Afternoon everyone - we had our consultation for 2nd icsi on Monday and things are moving along fast. I'm starting DR next Thursday. We haven't decided how to pay for our treatment yet. As I'm 38 we're only eligible for the 2 cycle, rather than any refund scheme. By doing this plan, I worked out that

Donor sperm
Hi, I am a newbie here, my husband and I have just had our first failed icsi cycle. My husband has a 0 sperm count and needed surgical removal for this one cycle, our only option now is to use donor sperm which he is struggling to get his head around. How have people over come this? His mind is going

Hi everyone, this is my first post. And my first round of NHS funded IVF. I'm 37, low AMH/low progesterone but other than that unexplained infertility. We have been trying for 4 loooooonnngggg years. Had EC on Friday only got 3 eggs 😞 But all 3 fertilised with ICSI. Having the day 5 transfer this afternoon

ICSI and weight training, yes or No?
Hey ladies, My partner and I are going to start our first cycle of ICSI in december with egg collection beginnng of January. I go to the gym 5 times a week and maintain a really healthy lifestyle with my diet. I do mainly weight training at the gym, heavy lifting on all body parts. I'm just wondering

Fertilisation Day
Hi everyone! So I had my egg collection yesterday! I must say I have never been so nervous in all my life! Still feeling a little sore (and a bit strange too, does anyone else feel like that after EC?) however, it all went well and we have got our results back today! There were 12 eggs collected in total

So disappointed
Last night 7days after my ET I had my period, I don't know why but I really thought it would work as everything had gone well and I had really good 5 day blastocyst. I know this sounds childish but it really is so unfair :( Has anyone had a failed 1st round of ICSI and gone onto to have a successful

Feeling positive after EC
Hi, I had my EC today and they managed to retrieve 13 eggs - they’re going on to do ivf rather than ICSI, and I’ve got excited nerves for tomorrow’s call to find out how many fertilise 😬 We’ve got so much further than our last ivf cycle when it got cancelled at day 7 of stimms due to poor response

Acupuncture
Brilliant news today. Last cycle of icsi for my daughter was cancelled due to her not responding to treatment. On her baseline scan she had no follicles and then only got 2 not so good ones taking gonal f. After looking at your posts about acupuncture, me n her dad paid for her to go twice a week. Well

Update on ICSI cycle - EC & ET ✅
I had egg collection last Friday and they managed to collect 13 eggs. Of those, 10 were suitable for ICSI. This resulted in 7 embryos, which all survived until day 5 blastocyst. They put back in the best embryo (4cb), but unfortunately none of the rest were suitable for freezing - they rang on day 6.

Experience sharing of ICSI after 40
Hi, everyone I just join the group today. Very nice to meet you all. I am going to have my first ICSI in Dec., and the doctor told me the success rate is about 10-12% if I am carrying two embryos due to my age. (41) Also twins can have risk of early birth or miss carriage. I must say it sounds horrible

Donor Eggs and the NHS - advice needed
hello everyone - after my first round of ICSI with the NHS i have been told they will not be giving me another try, as I only produced 2 eggs (one of which fertilised and got to ET). They have said that what they can offer me is a chance with an egg donor - the catch is, it has to be done before I turn
