Some advice please
I had my oblation back in November 2016, I was taking 80mg of sotalol and 150mg of Irbesartan, two weeks ago my doctor suggested that I come off the sotalol and move to rivaroxaban. For the past week, every evening I have had AF for a couple of hours. What has gone wrong ? It feels that I have gone

86 with A-fib, next step?
Hi I am 86 and was diagnosed with SVT in Jan 2017 - my heart rate was 150. Then I was told I was a-flutter/a-fib. I was over medicated (metroprolo, digoxin and Diltiazem) and my rate came way down. I was told I needed a pacemaker, then I was put on Diltiazem only - which wasn't enough and my heart rate

Sotalol quitting?
My husband has been on one 80 mg Sotalol twice a day - and having had no improvement. He contacted his cardiologist about stopping with the sotalol for a period and record his pulse for a few weeks to compare the reading of when he was on it and now that he has stopped taking. The Cardio was happy

My Catheter Ablation Experience
I posted about a year ago about being diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation. I had tried using Sotalol to prevent the AF which worked for about a year then I started getting AF episodes again. I then moved onto Bisoprolol and Flecainide which prevented AF for about a further year but I have been experiencing

Importance of taking beta blockers on time!
Maybe telling you guys how to suck eggs but this was lost on me. I've been on Sotalol for 25+ years and in that time nobody told me to take my meds regularly every day. I take them morning and night. I thought it was just a case of keeping the drug 'topped up'. Similar to another drug I am on permanently

sotalol as Pill in Pocket
My GP gave me 40mg of Sotalol as a PIP and told me to take one tablet when necessary. My Afib problem is rhythm control. I did some research and found out that Sotalol can help with rate and rhythm problems BUT you have to take it at a high dose for it to help with rate control. It can also cause

Right side of heart ablation
I have had 2 ablations on the left side of my heart. They got rid of my fibulations, however I was left with flutter on the right side. This past Wednesday I had an ablation on the right side of the heart. At this point I have a normal heartbeat. The Dr. decreased my Bystolic and put me on Sotalol

Ectopic beats from lower heart chamber
I had to go doctors about 8 months ago as I was feeling really tired all the time. He thought it was due to the Metropol I was taking ( I had a heart attack 9 years ago ) he put me on bisoporol instead. The tiredness went away but he also ordered me to have an ECG. This showed up AF. So he sent me to
