Advice on which Vitamin test to buy.
Hi it was advised on here to recheck my vitamin levels, as I have not done this for well over a year now. I’ve increased my thyroid medication, but now I’m back from holiday, I want to test my vitamins levels, particularly my iron levels. I normally use Medi checks, but its been over a year (

So at my last GP appt to review all my results, 21 months of blood tests* since the multinodular goitre was discovered in May 2021, the GP said I do not have primary thyroid and I need to let it go, he believes my symptoms are carers burnout. I raised secondary/central thyroid and we seemed to reach

Iron metabolism in RLS : iron transporter ferroportin & Magnesium Malate
Editing to preface: The important subject of iron metabolism deserves a much better post than this. I apologize for how confusing, messy, and inconsistent it is. Please disregard it or take it with a grain of salt. I would erase it but out of respect for the comments made, I wont. I cut and pasted

Blood test results
My daughter recently had some blood tests done due to tiredness and dry skin. Her ferritin is low and her TSH isn’t ideal. Her vitamin D was poor. Her ferritin was 23 (30-200). I have in my head that other bloods should be done to confirm iron tablets are required. The gp has prescribed iron tablets

A (failed?) attempt to stop thyroid medicines.
Hi, everyone. Sorry for the long post... I've been on thyroid hormone replacement since almost 4 years. I started euthyrox on the advice of my gp when my TSH was 2.89 (0.27-4.20). My antibodies were also slightly elevated (TPO: 112 [0-34]) and they remain on this range until today. Back then I was

RLS and iron metabolism and treating with dopamine agonists causes dopamine burnout
“That is exactly why almost any doctor you see prescribes dopamine-stimulating drugs for restless legs. But this logic is flawed, and even they know this. Here’s why.The biggest problem with restless legs is the bulk of your receptors that are SUPPOSED to receive dopamine aren’t receiving it. [2] Restless

Checkup of multinodular goitre at ENT
I have a checkup of my multinodular goitre at the end of Feb 2023 and I would like some advice please on what to be asking when I’m there. When it was identified almost two years ago I went on the 2ww . Thankfully it wasn’t cancer but I was so worried I didn’t ask many questions. Further info/Background
