Iron infusion
I had an iron infusion. Finished it last week. My ferritin was 44 prior to infusion. I have to have a blood test to see if it went up. Just curious how long before you feel better. I still feel the same, very tired. Came off mirapex a month ago and waiting for my dr. to give me a new medication.

Questions for Endocrinologist
Today is the day, I am finally seeing an endocrinologist. Any suggestions of things to ask? Trying to be optimistic about the appointment but quietly cautious. Below are the questions I have so far: - FT3 measurement to ensure adequate conversion - Pregnancy monitoring and appropriate FT4 and TSH levels

Multiple Iron Infusions.
I had an iron infusion two years ago for RLS. Before the infusion my ferritin was down to about 100 and it rose to about 350 Unfortunately my RLS didn't respond to this and I couldn't detect any improvement over the next 12 months. My ferritin decreased over 2 years to 200 and then gradually

Hypothyroid - Vit & iron levels
Hello, As recommended by this brilliant group, I have had my vitamin and iron levels tested through medichecks. My results have come back all in range, thankfully, but I know that sometimes ‘normal’ or ‘in range’ isn’t optimum. Would someone be able to look at these please and let me know any thoughts

arranging iron infusion
Hello, I’m having a remote consultation with Dr Toby Richard’s on Thursday with a view to having an iron transfusion in London on 31st May. I am wondering if other people have experienced any negative reactions / side effects from iron infusions ….. or indeed any really positive results! positive stories

Latest blood tests
Hi everyone, I posted a while ago about getting all my underactive thyroid symptoms back, joint pains, fatigue, anxiety and others. I’d had test results saying my TSH was low, but the dr was saying that it was satisfactory. I managed to speak to another dr and she ordered full blood tests. My results

hi I’m running the Bridge to 10 k podcast again but still only just got to 5k. I started running again end of Feb after 8 months convalescence from an op. Hi all just thought I'd UPDATE after my daughters visit with the new Endo. On a scale of 1-10. I rate him a 2! The nurse took her BP and asked weight & hgt. Then the Dr walks in , says ok let's look at labs , remarked all look good. Daughter goes on to say she's put on weight despite working out and

Malabsorption of drugs?
I am still awaiting a diagnosis of PA, but do suspect I do have it. My stomach pH level was recently 8.1, so very low stomach acid, which is why I am not absorbing/processing B12, iron and folate. I also did a test which showed I have very low diamine oxidase in my gut so have histamine intolerance.

Should I stop Ferrous Fumarate before Blood Test?
Hi, I was prescribed Ferrous Fumarate after my last bloods showed very low in ferritin levels (I'm Hashi's). I'm due my follow up routine blood test for thyroid levels and ferritin / iron next week. Do I need to stop taking the Ferrous Fumarate ahead of the blood test? Thanks so much
