Switching to NDT or adding T3?

Sotalol
My newly found Consultant Cardiologist has prescribed me two new drugs. Sotalol and Flecainide. In respect of the Sotalol he prescribed .... " one tablet twice a day". My tablets are 40mg dose. This replaces Bisoprolol and Nebivolol that I have taken at different times in past years gone by. Anyone

Cortisol saliva vs blood serum
Hey all, Did anyone find out anywhere why some of us have high cortisol or normal in blood serum, but suboptimal in saliva? Potentially something to do with transporters, but for the life of me, I cannot find anything anywhere and I can't test CBG where I am (binding globulin for cortisol). I have done

SlowDragon please comment on my situation if you're around.
Hi, I'm not able to get labs until Jan. 13, hopefully. This clinic is going under and everyone is struggling to be seen in this tiny community in the middle of nowhere. I am tired most of the time. However, I did walk the furthest today than I have in a month so maybe things are getting better

High transferritin saturation?
Hello, is there anyone with this issue even though their actual iron levels aren't high? Im vegetarian, mostly dairy free and gluten free so unlikely to be getting lots of iron. I haven't been taking iron supplements either.

Bioinorganic Chemistry of Micronutrients Related to Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases
Recent interesting article (July 2023). I was researching a bit more on B6 because there is still negative research about supplementing with B6, and came across this on Pub Med. This article also discusses metals in PD. I guess a hair test might be of benefit. It would be difficult for me to try

Iron infusion progress- labs
Hey all, Two weeks ago I had iron infusion of 500 Monover. It was a bumpy ride (more in my previous posts). I had tests done today if it worked and here they are: Iron = 71 (50-170) up from 39 Ferritin = 260 (range up to 200), went up from 37 Does anyone know if it's normal to have still lowish iron

My 3 Arrows Heme Iron has finally arrived! How do I dose it?
It seemed to take a long time to arrive. But it's finally here. At my last blood test my iron was low, not deficient and not low enough for a doctor to comment. But lower than I want and I struggle to keep Ferritin half decent. I've never had good Ferritin. So how do you take your 3 Arrows Heme

Late as usual: Aberfforest -- the easy way to the other side
I feel I should apologise for being out of touch for a while. Well, actually, I am not sorry, but you know how we Brits apologise for everything, even things we haven't done. I spent the last four days in hospital, returning home yesterday afternoon. I had developed severe leg pain and swelling, and

recently told I have possible heart failure
I have multiple issues: asthma, atrial fibrillation (permanent), underactive thyroid. I am on apixaban blood thinners. This last year I have had a rather bloody uti followed in May by bleeding from my colon when I lost a considerable amount of blood, so I am now deficient in iron. And am taking iron

Bubbling sensations in the rectum area and very low gurgling sounds, has anyone had the same?
I have had blood tests and a colonoscopy. Everything is fine apart from high iron levels. But I was just wondering if anyone has had the same sensations/symptoms in the subject line? Any advice or reply from someone that has had the same symptoms would be appreciated. I have also just had a FIT test

hair loss
I am low on ferritin and zinc and I am now getting vitaminB injections. I cannot absorb ferritin or zinc through my stomach (I am well medicated with thyroxine and levels remains stable). I keep asking for an iron infusion but keep getting refused because my 'numbers' are within normal range -ferritin

another iron infusion? and low ALT level
Hello, dear RLS friends! I would really appreciate your advice regarding my mother's ferritin levels. So she is currently on 0.375 mg (some days up to 0.5 mg) and 900 mg neurontin. I know DAs are not optimal, but at this point it would really be a problem to withdraw, especially that mom did start with

Why am I experiencing migraines, muscle twitching and generally feeling poo 💩?!
Last year year this forum was incredibly helpful when I had a very scary patch of feeling dreadful. I nearly passed out in the middle of the night. Eventually I was diagnosed with vestibular migraine and haven’t felt myself since. I get some migraine symptoms like zig zagging in eye and tiredness but

My daughter's blood tests, could someone take a look please .
My daughter is 12. She doesn't have any diagnosed thyroid problems but our GP has run various blood tests due to regular nosebleeds and occasional migraines with aura. I persuaded them to check her thyroid and iron panel aswell. I've pushed for this with our family history of autoimmune thyroid problems
