How to Balance Low Sodium and Electrolyte Replacement During Exercise?
There are two nutrition segments who do not communicate much: low
sodium
diets and electrolyte replacement. I have seen a number of articles about "low
sodium
backpacking" and "low
sodium
backpacking meals."

The strangest place this 5 and 1/2 year journey has taken me to date.
I was diagnosed in june of 2016 with a 9 gleason score. Had rad prostectomy, then salvage. Followed by 18mos of milage from zytiga and a Brief minute with xtandi, until it failed. Onward, to a couple of clinical trials, Bombesin which failed miserbly putting me in the hospital. Then the harpoon

Liothyronine Sodium vs Liothyronine Hydrochloride - what's the difference?
Hi there, I'm currently taking 5mcg tablets of Liothyronine
Sodium
(SigmaPharm) three times daily which is rather expensive, I've asked for an alternative that might be cheaper and pharmacy I get it from can supply me 20mcg tablets of Liothyronine Hydrochloride (Thybon Henning).

Anyone else had intolerance to fillers in Levothyroxine tablets?
A note about liquid thyroxine - it also has an additive that has side effects -
Sodium
methyl parahydroxybenzoate. Also it is really fiddly to take as you have to put a syringe into the bottle, turn it upside down and then read the numbers on the syringe.

Update - ADT with Zytiga Failure (Castration Resistant) after 6 Months (PSA 90.3); Firmagon still Working; PSMA PET Scan Ordered
I came right out of the gate with Gleason 9 Stage 4 Advanced Prostate Cancer with more than 5 Metastases in January of this year. Firmagon brought the Testosterone down to < 7 almost right away, but PSA went to 160. Zytiga and Prednisone were added in March and brought the PSA back down to 5. The PSA

I have prescribed Hycoscan eye drops every hour and
Sodium
Chloride 5% eye ointment (stupidly expensive for what it is) at night. If these don’t work after a couple of weeks, there is, wait for it, a steroid treatment that will, apparently.

Has anyone tried Mirtazapine?
My doctors put me on these. I’d say there great for sleeping but don’t seem to be helping anything else. I am still using codeine to control the symptoms. I don’t use them every day. But I find they work. The most I use is 3 or maybe 4 on a bad day. I prefer them to Imodium because for some reason Imodium

Add on drugs that are usually prescribed by a consultant part 1 (LAMAs, add-on inhalers, theo)
Part 2 should cover azithromycin and
sodium
cromoglicate, but thought this post would get stupidly long if I put them here too 😅😂.

Cirrhosis and dealing with salt & sugar cravings
I have always used low
sodium
salt, and do now check labels on food items for the amount of salt. Am I OK to use the low
sodium
salt as long as I feel well. Or am I causing real trouble for the future.

Hi there My hubby is on radium 223. He is after his 5th session. He has tolerated it well but has lost weight and his psa is now at 90. He has stayed on xtandi throughout. Our oncologist thinks he should have his last treatment scheduled for January and review in February when he has recovered. What

Hi, my girlfriend has epilepsy and was put on this drug about 7 years ago. She is 32 and since being on it she has undergone over a dozen surgeries, a hysterectomy and partial vulvectomy. Her consultant has advised it may be worth changing medication as they don’t understand why her cancer Has been so

I.B.S AND THE PROBLEMS.
I.B.S. destroys your life in so much as the simple things like a walk, drive in the car, going out socially, yoga-you name it, is a real problem. Wearing special disposable pants, incontinence type disposable sheets underneath the main sheet and how do you regulate say imodium and peppermint oil capsules

We should all learn from this!
I avoid all meat, especially red or processed which is full of additives and other chemicals and only use low-
sodium
salt (if needed), added at the table, much preferring black pepper, mixed spice, turmeric, cumin etc to flavour soups (homemade from scratch) & even oatmeal, instead of sugar or honey
