Radium 223

Hi there

My hubby is on radium 223. He is after his 5th session. He has tolerated it well but has lost weight and his psa is now at 90. He has stayed on xtandi throughout. Our oncologist thinks he should have his last treatment scheduled for January and review in February when he has recovered.

What are your thoughts?

Hello - my husband could not tolerate the xtandi. He did do xofigo and lost weight but did not get a response from the xofigo. (he had 3 treatments) We changed up his diet and he ate at least 3 very large meals each day to maintain his current weight of 178. He's 6'2 - Ask the doctor why wait? Did he have scans?

Hi there Yes had scans in October after 3rd dose.

Scan showed a new lesion on his spine but indicated healing in some of the others. I am aware the xofigo doesn't affect psa but am nervous of it rising all the time.
