When is a 'Treat' not a Treat and can you tell what this is by the ingredients? 😊
Hi folks, as its National nutrition month and it was on the news this morning that the UK needs to go on a diet and one of the problems was the low quality of the 'product' by product they mean the food that people are buying to fuel their bodies. So what is a treat? it implies a reward and something

Diet for Liver Disease
Doctors never tell you to change your diet because people tend to make excuses and argue with them about it. So I went to a dietician who said to stick to more of a Vegan type diet... Dairy has natural bacteria in it which can agitate the immune system setting off an auto-immune attack so dairy is bad

Is it just me?
In order to stop the cramping and gas I took an Imodium on Tuesday to give me some relief from the pain and slow things down. It really worked, to such an extent that I have had no bowel movement for 48 hours and am really panicking. Has this happened to anyone else please?

Fighting B12 deficiency
Putting all my symptoms as somebody else might benefit from it. I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency in Jan 2018. It all started with burning sensation in my left forearm which then spread to leg, shoulder blades, hands etc. I took it as Heart issue and was shit scared. Visited my family Dr immediately

Stephen Silva, a story of a hopeful future. He refused to go silently into that dark night. An example for younger patients especially.
I was diagnosed with stage 4 alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver in May 2016 at age 32. At the time I was deep in alcoholism and weighed over 300 pounds. I had basically every symptom that comes along with cirrhosis; jaundice, ascites filled my belly, swollen legs, tender belly, brown urine, rarely urinating

Not the treatment I was expecting for my 89 y/o Dad
My Dad and I met with the MO today, who is recommending Taxotere For his treatment. (Mets to skull, spine, pelvis & ribs) MO says Zytiga, Xtandia, and Radium 223 would not be as effective but can be tried if he can't tolerate the Taxotere. He says this is what is recommended as a 1st line of treatment

Evidence used for my decision process with (IMO)
In answer to your questions (continued) I have no insurance (for the last two years), so I keep lines of communication open with current researchers and practitioners in the field. occasionally I have vetted a specialist or two and will make an appointment to ask questions about current research. my

More on diet
Today I wanted to clear up a few things in regards to what constitutes a healthy renal diet. I receive emails daily from confused and at their “wits end” kidney disease sufferers, wanting to know what they can eat. Especially what they CAN eat, not what they CAN’T eat (fair enough too). This problem

Advice on upset stomach.
Today, I have not felt well. BP 128/91 and pulse 60 yet when I bend forward, it feels like my head, face, fills with blood. I have no better way to describe the feeling. I feel out of breath too. Yesterday I cooked a meal for the family and know I should of not eaten it as it was pork, and that upsets

Allergies to URSO. Help What can I do?
Dilemma, what can I do if I am allergic to treatment of PBC. The pills cotain sodium lauryl sulfate a big allergen for me. What other meds similar to URSO can I take or natural treatment. I am unsure I can find something that I am not allergic to? Currently, I am on watch as Gastro agrees that I should
