Do Mobile/Cell phones cause brain cancer?
With a CLL diagnosis, our increased risk secondary cancers becomes a concern. So understandably, many of us look at what we can do to reduce our risk of developing secondary cancers. This article by Simon Chapman, Emeritus Professor in Public Health, University of Sydney may prove reassuring to anyone

My success with Imbruvica (ibrutinib
I've posted before that for almost all of 2015 I was treated for ITB. My platelet counts ranged up and down from 2 to 50 all year. In December I switched to another doctor and he did a bone marrow biopsy and told me on Christmas Eve that I have CLL. He immediately started me on FCR, but after two

Stick or Twist...Not Really.
Hi, PaulaS suggested that I write and let people who know me on here know how I'm doing. She suggested it quite a long time ago, but I didn't know how I was doing until today. I have just had the consultation post chemotherapy and have been told that I have achieved full remission, which is good news

Scleroderma and Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma
My mum was diagnosed with scleroderma 18 months ago - it's confined to her (very tight) skin and her symptoms are very cold hands and feet and lack of energy/can't walk far. Just before Christmas she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma in her neck for which she's nearly completed chemotherapy treatment

I was dx 4 years ago with Cll at 48 and had a quadruple bypass last year. Blood thinners?
A quick question. As I am taking blood thinners, could this affect me going on a clinical trial in the future?

What now? ...after BR
My husband has his 6th round of BR chemotherapy this week...I'm wondering what happens now? Do we just go away and wait for the CLL to return? Trisomy 12
Hi everyone. I saw my consultant on Thursday with the results of my recent blood test and PET scan. The PET scan only showed the enlarged lymph nodes that I knew about in my neck. None in my chest or abdomen which was good news. He told me I have the chromosome abnormality trisomy 12. He said it's not

This morning's news should give us all cause to smile and to keep hope alive. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/technology-science/science/doctors-battling-stop-cancer-hail-7377474 However, does T cell immunotherapy work on B cell leukemia? This question is above my pay grade. Still, this breakthrough

Anyone been on Triptorelin during their treatment?
Hi everyone, I've just finished R-CHOP chemotherapy and am recovering after 7 months of treatment. I was on Triptorelin for 4 months to temporarily stop my ovaries from working (and protect them from chemo). I've been off it since September and have been waiting for my periods to come but there hasn't
