Peak Flow going down... :(
The last year and a half has been spectacular for me and my asthma. Since in August 2019 the doc swapped my meds (seretide 250 to symbicort 80 4.5) everything changed. I went from 500 peak flow to 645. No more phlegm, no infections, a lot of resistance..Excellent improvement of my condition. But 2 weeks

Yellow Zone
So, I'll just preface this by saying my GP does know this and I'm waiting for a referral. Basically, I'm constantly going into the yellow zone of my Peak Flow daily, often multiple times a day. How can this stop happening? I'm currently taking Fostair 200/6 2 puffs twice a day and an additional 2 puffs

Does anyone take supplements only for UC and IBS-C rather than prescription drugs?
I was diagnosed with UC about 20 years ago and have been in remission for a while but have constipation. I'm prescribed Mezavant XL and docusate sodium, when I remember to take them. I've also been taking slippery elm and psyllium husk more often as prefer to take this in an attempt to keep me regular

4 weeks of Keto
I have now been on Keto with TRE (16 hours) for 4 weeks exactly. I am going to switch to low carb from today, and my current plan is to go full Keto again in 2 months' time. I checked the ketones with a stick this morning and they are in a small amount range. I think that can be explained by the

What are optimal thyroid levels?
Hi, as with many with thyroid problems it feels like we keep hitting a brick wall as goes for finding help. I have had private and blood tests on the NHS to confirm I have Peroxidase antibodies so therefore Hashimoto's. I've had suggested that it may actually be the pituitary that may be the actual issue

High cholesterol or not?
Just had some results back and some readings are showing a red flag. I'm very active and have a healthy low-carb diet. Should I be worried and Contact my gp? This was a private test through benenden. Thanks.

Remedies for Parkinson's constipation
This subject comes up a lot, so I figured it would be useful to post our collective wisdom in one place as a reference. As usual – what works for one may not work for another. So members of our club are invited to also post your remedies in the comments.

Cholesterol and Statins
Just had results of Cholesterol test which is 6.2 (up from 4.8 three years ago and pre PMR). Started a low carb diet as soon as prescribed Prednisolone and it has certainly stopped me from gaining. Weight but has meant that I have had to add more fat to my diet for energy. I am guessing that this has

Carbs and inflammation
I had been weirdly regretful that I wasn't suffering from inflammation previously, so I wasn't able to rejoice in it going away with low carb. I have eaten very carby meals on about 4 occasions in the last 18 months, with no apparent side effects. Until last night, when I was sat in front of a plate

Hi, I'm kind of desperate right now and thought that you guys might have some ideas regarding my problems. Roughly 3 Weeks ago I started having trouble of breath from time to time. In my case inhaling feels much worse than exhaling. Also my throat starts feeling harder when I have SOB. I don't have

Blood Test Results from GP, very ill and no diagnosis
Hello, Sorry I know some of these bloods will be irrelevant to the thyroid forum but posting just in case someone who knows better than me spots something. Background- I’ve been ill since 14, originally diagnosed with ME/CFS. Only thing that routinely showed up in tests was extremely low blood pressure
