We are both hypothyroid and she takes 175 thyroxine per day and I 150. It seems to be more or less right. BUT we both have

MSA and Stopping Breathing
I have sleep apnea and I stop breathing during the daytime as well. Interesting experience during my hour long dental procedure: the oral surgeon woke me four times saying “breathe Kevin, breathe Kevin”.

Arnica/Dalterparin interactions?
Hi all, I’m having bilateral mastectomy soon & the surgeon wants me to start oral arnica. I’m on daily dalterparin (& hydroxychloroquine). I know arnica interacts with warfarin but struggling to find out how or if theres any specific interaction with dalterparin. Does anyone have experience or any pointers

Dilemma about visiting elderly mother in hospital 😪
Hi everyone, I hope everyone is keeping well. Can I ask your advice/opinions please. I have moderate/severe copd. My mother (79) got taken into hospital last night after being found on the floor of her flat, naked, freezing and with a shattered hip. She had been there all night and all the next day.

AFIB free from CPAP and ASD
Since we're talking recovery, I'd like to offer my experience. I presented with bradycardia and Afib in June 2016. I got an emergency pacemaker for the bradycardia. I then tried various meds for afib, none of which worked. I went to Dr. Huang at U of Rochester. After an ultrasound, he said to go

Confused
My story started about a little over a half ago when I tested positive for the BRCA 2 gene. I started with mammograms and MRI every 6 months. Had one good mammogram and MRI. Then in January 2020 had a mammogram and a spot showed up. Had a biopsy and came back positive for breast cancer. Was told

YES to CAFFEINE for RLS
Reading all these posts is driving me crazy. Mirapex, lyrica, Ropinirole, Gabapentin... so many drugs. I've tried them all over the years. Some worked. Some didn't, like Gabapentin, not real great for RLS. But after many many years of severe RLS, what did I find that works? CAFFEINE! Try 1/4 to 1/2

No longer on Mirapex and I'm drug free!
So, I was diagnosed with RLS during a sleep study over 10 years ago and I was put on.50 mg of Mirapex. It worked wonderful for a long time. I began to notice that my RLS was getting worse. In fact, I discovered that the Mirapex was the culprit! I went off it cold turkey with no ill effects! I don't suffer

Update on my sister
Many thanks to all of you who responded last time I posted a few days ago. My sister has had the results of her biopsy back and her cancer is progesterone and oestrogen positive and her2 negative. Could someone let me know what that means in terms of her treatment going forward. Last time she had BC

Has anyone everyone gone through Oncoplastic surgery?
I've just completed my 6 sessions of chemo, and the MRI and scans show no tumors, or if there are any none are visible. I am still being told I will need surgery to remove any/all residual tissue that was the tumor. I was given 3 options: 1) lumpectomy 2) oncoplastic surgery 3) mastectomy. I would

8 years on!
I had grade 3 HER2 positive breast cancer in my left breast and had a mastectomy and chemo and herceptine and have been on tamoxifen for 8 years. I am suffering with pain in my bionic boob and very itchy red décolletage which nothing seems to soothe and scratching doesn’t get rid of the itch. Does anyone

Sister with Breast cancer
Hi there my sister has just found out that she has a recurrence of breast cancer and I want to support her as best I can. She was first diagnosed about 15 1/2 years ago and had a lumpectomy and radiotherapy, there was no spread to any lymph nodes at the time. The recurrence is in the same breast but
