Questions about genetic testing
I’ve got mixed ductal PC. I’m post RALP, post-rad, 6 months into ADT. Setting research about the increased likelihood of metastasis with ductal, and the unreliability of PSA in indicating ductal, I’m anxious to touch all bases before it goes to lungs bones brain or liver. I’m already scheduled for

At Last!!
You all know my problem. So in a nutshell I have bladder cancer and my treatment has been stopped 3 times = last one being because a 6mm was seen on my lung with a CT Scan. My MDT sent the details to the lung people and stopped my BC treatment, well it had not started, I got a phone call in week

One cancer apparently not enough!
I had a really good result from PSMA-PET scan in November 2022. PSA had bottomed out to 0.04 over six months. But PSMA did indicate one slight met on L4. January 2023, PSA had risen to 1.9. I elected to have targeted radiation to the L4. No complications or side effects, but two weeks after the

Bone pain
Hello everyoneI'm 53 and have triple negative metastatic bone cancer. Found out when my femur fractured last October. I'm on Xeloda. My bones in hip and knee are starting to hurt more, even though my last PET scan was clear. Why is this happening?

The Role of New Technologies in Myeloproliferative Neoplasms
I was reviewing some of the items in my bookmarked resources and came across this article from 2019. It was worth a reread. The article is a literature review and has some very interesting references regarding various issues related to MPNs, including information about the three driver mutations.

Any suggestions for headache?
After initial diagnosis in 2015, I've had EBRT; brachytherapy; chemo in 2019; ADT since 2019 chemo; two bone Mets on spine since 2019, but no detectable PSA. Have been on Orgovyx since December, 2020. Still have everyday, lowgrade --- not migraine --- headaches, for which I take Excedrin. In talking

Xeloda causing hand redness and extreme tenderness ... playing phone tag with onc's nurse
I am frustrated and feeling more vulnerable and overwhelmed than I've felt during most of my 19 year journey with MBC. On day 5 of 7 days off Xeloda, second round of two weeks on, one week off. I phoned the cancer center either two or three times yesterday and twice so far today. On top of that, I

Ageism
I know this is off topic, yet it concerns many of us AF'ers over 75. Yesterday, while tuned into GBN TV, I saw a news item on a new NHS initiative encouraging bowel cancer screening. This reminded me that I haven't had the magic test kit package for years which I'd forgotten about. So, I rang my GP

Nail discoloration on verzenio and letrizole.
I’m concerned that maybe I have melanoma under my fingernail to calm my fear of melanoma, does anyone else have fingernail discolorations?

Fulvestrant side effects
Just wondering whether anyone on fulvestrant alone has experienced any of the potential side effects listed for this drug? Not the injection itself but afterwards. I had my 4th set of shots 3 weeks ago. The only side effect I experienced after the first 3 injections was fatigue but this time, 2 days

Time for Hospice
It's been 6 months since the CAR-T clinical trial at Mass General. At my most recent appointment there, I was told that the FDA shut down P-PSMA-101, and that I was the last patient enrolled. During trial, psa increased from 0.9 to 2.1 In December, I started having double-vision. It started side-by-side

Can you have two different types of Ovarian Cancer at the same time?
Hi Everyone, Hope you're all doing ok or as well as can be. Quick question can you have two separate Ovarian Cancers at the same time? My diagnosis was given last year of 3c low grade serous, I have had a small nodule removed from my abdomen on the 22nd Jan. The Pathologist has come back and said

Locally Advanced Prostate Cancer, at diagnosis
My husband was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. His gleason score was a 9, grade 5 at biopsy. A PET scan seems to be showing that a near lymph node has been compromised. We're still waiting to see doctors - at first local urologist recommended appointments with surgeons, and after PET scan is

Had a good year on Taxol and it knocked my CA15 down to almost normal but its creeping back up and my PET shows new activity. We discussed a ton of options and I am grateful there are so many. We also re-ran my original tumors through some more advanced genetic testing. The bottom line next drug is
