Side effects of Bempedoic Acid
I have high cholesterol and reacted badly to 2 statins so was given ezetimibe a year ago. This hasn't reduced the cholesterol enough so now started on Bempedoic acid in addition. I read it might also help improve fatty liver, which I also have. Feel very bloated and tired after 2 doses. Does anyone have

An FYI for those of you on Ibrance and Simvastatin. Unfortunately I had a bad reaction to the combination of these 2 meds. Despite the fact that I’ve been taking them for 6 years with no problems, last week I developed what’s called Rhabdomyolosis. It basically causes muscle breakdown. CK levels are

Statin Use Is Associated with Better Prognosis of Patients with Prostate Cancer after Definite Therapies:
A new meta-analysis of statin use and prostate cancer-specific mortality [PCSM] and all-cause mortality [ACM], below [1]. The analysis included 24 studies with 369,206 individuals. It has been known for a century that solid tumors accumulate cholesterol. That may be reason enough to initiate statin

Occasional very low BP
This year I’ve had 3 ‘episodes’ of fainting / being sick, due to sudden low BP. I have a blocked artery and have been taking meds since just before the pandemic - Ramipril, Bisoprolol, Simvastatin, aspirin, Ranozoline, Monomil. Today was one of those 3 episodes - fainted / sick mid morning - taken

Light-Headed
Hi, I have survived 2 'out of hospital' cardiac arrests. I had a triple heart bypass after the first in 2012 and an ICD fitted in 2019 after the second. 10 days ago, I started feeling very light-headed. I have had no change of meds (either dosage or type) . I take Ramipril, Amiodarone, Asprin, Bisoprolol

Avorstatin 80mg + Ezetimibe anyone?
Following a HA in April I have overhauled my diet, attended cardiac rehab, remained as active as my energy levels allow and will continue this moving forward. My recent bloods show my total cholesterol has reduced to 4.8 (but should be ideally below 4) but my LDL (bad cholesterol) remains stubborn at

rosuvastatin.
Hello again. Having had horrible side effects on atorvastatin and simvastatin, the stroke consultant wants me to try rosuvastatin 5mg 3 times a week. Has anyone any experience of this statin as an intermittent dose ? Doc and consultant just do not want to give up on the statins… thanks.

ENTRESTO 49/51 (+ Bisoprolol, Eplerenone, Aspirin, Simvastatin, Omeprazole, Dapagloflozin, Furosemide, Mexiletine).
My husband (79) has been on Entresto for nearly 2 years. Has no energy or strength and is tired most of the time with breathing problems after a very short walk in the garden. Hasn't seen cardiologist or had his EF checked since prescription issued. GP will not change any medication cos of heart problems
