Asthma and covid
So my sister (who I live with) has tested positive for Covid. I’m guessing it’s quite likely that I have it or am going to get it, but should I start increasing my inhalers as a preventative measure? How have people with asthma coped with covid? I’m not overly worried, my asthma is relatively well controlled

Unusual allergy-induced asthma symptom or unrelated (mild shakiness)?
Hi there, I had a recent flare up of my allergy-induced asthma, which cleared up after 8 weeks (and after speaking to the asthma nurse, we came to the conclusion that an allergen had triggered the flare up, I believe it might have been fungal/mold spores in the garden). A few days later I had a smaller

Asthma or bronchiectasis???
Hello all, I've had mild asthma all my life but the last few years it has become difficult to control with the regular inhalers. Bronchitis- prednison events 3 times a year. Last winter I was put on nebuliser (corticosteroids plus extra saline) treatment, and that really helps. After much delay earlier

Persistent asthma symptoms - Kindly need your advice
I recently had a
severe
asthma
attack where I had to be nebulized and hospitalized but was later discharged. I have had a constant need to use my inhaler (Seretide) I have actually finished it up in a few days.

Blocked from return to work w/ controlled asthma?
My workplace is in a country with limited health facilities and I think they rejected me because my workplace hasn't secured any ventilators within that system, but even when I had my only

exacerbation, it's not like I needed a ventilator, just 3 days of prednisone!

Asthma Flare-Up
Hey everyone, Hope that you’re all keeping well. Last month I had an Asthma Flare-Up and was advised to take extra Fostair through the day to help settle it. 4 Weeks on I’ve had a bit of a Cold and think that it’s gone into my Chest. Chest has been tight and Ventolin relieves it but then wears off.

Covid Vaccine 💉
I know there has been a few worries and queries about the Covid vaccine eligibility for asthmatics, this is a statement from AUK and we have also written to JCVI for clarity - I hope this is helpful 👍 'People with
severe
asthma
who are clinically extremely vulnerable and aged under 70 are in priority

Asthma General Enquiry
Hi, I am being treated for asthma as I have the classic symptoms - shortness of breath, tight chest, difficulty getting a satisfying yawn. I have had the blue inhaler for a few years - and my peak flow sits at ~330 before and after using this. I have used the brown inhaler for a few years but it doesn't

Asthma/covid
At this time of year I always have an exacerbation of my cough variant asthma. I also have a rescue supply of prednisolone. However I am supposed to phone the surgery and let them know what I have used in terms of ventalin and that I’m starting prednisolone. I know what will happen this year in that

More Breathless
I am struggling a lot with my
severe
asthma
. I’m on a lot of meds including prednisone continuously for about 9 years. And now bio chemical injections every month. But I can’t seem to complete anything without getting breathless. I can’t walk far or do exercise. I’m just sitting at home.
